Asks a lot of stupid questions about last year's taxes even after I provided last year's data file for import. What exactly am I paying for when I have to do a bunch of legwork manually getting answers out of last year's forms? After 20 years of TurboTax, I've had enough.

Well Turbo-tax software is like a cheap crappy lawyer who constantly wants to upsale you more and more services. Would you like this service? Maybe this service? I know I'm supposed to be accurate and super duper easy to use. But, you may want this service to check your return, or this service for insurance, or this service to predict the return of Christ in the new year. Its almost as annoying as being asked CONSTANTLY to complete a review with a buggy web interface, because the company wants to spend more money on corporate bonuses and salaries than implementing a solid product.

When my CPA informed me that they couldn't get my return done by the deadline, I downloaded TurboTax and flowed the "guided tour" through every section. I learned more about personal and business deductions and categories than all my years with a CPA. The guiding questions made me trust that we wouldn't miss any possible deductions. I still had to do research items regarding Schedule K-1 items for my husband's business but in the end, I feel confident with my entries. Entering my business expenses was straight-forward. I appreciate the double-checking feature at the end. Saving and printing was easy. Thank you Turbo Tax!

I like the help with walk thru, but this year was more difficult to finish and I have used ur software for years. I also had an error with the annuity section that turbotax inserted a number automatically, but at least the smartcheck found the error and asked to fixed it. So final papers were correct.

have been using Turbo Tax for over 40 years during years with a simple 2-person household through a household with 2 college attending children and several real estate development LLCs, to today where I am retired and living off of social security and investments. TurboTax has handled it all!

The TurboTax desktop version now has a very poor user interface. I have used TurboTax for 20 years, and its quality assurance has noticeably deteriorated. Fortunately, ChatGPT has been far more helpful in identifying errors than TurboTax’s own support tools. The Help section is particularly bad.

Once you get past all the marketing, and scare tactics, the actual tax prep is helpful and makes the process smooth. But your marketing is horrendous! How many time do I have to say no to real time help- at least 20. Very annoying, makes you seem desperate, and wastes my time. It's also difficult to tell which product I need- you should be more specific, not just "rest assured! We can help you" vague language meant to pacify a toddler.

Lots of bugs this year. It tells me I have not yet filed but I am being asked to review. I already shut it down and rebooted twice today. I will need to print and snail mail. This stupid AI keeps creating spelling errors. I can't even review you guys.

Horrible product that does not work well. You cannot import 1099-DA into their desktop software. Online Turbotax does not allow you to upload csvs or any other text format for importing those transactions. Their PDF processing of the transactions are horrible and misidentifies amounts.

This year's product failed to request our PINs from the IRS and the returns were rejected. Fortunately I submitted with 2 days to go, but if I had waited there could have been a serious issue. Including PINs is required - why would your product have submitted without them? Very disappointing.
