Turbo Tax calculated penalties for both fed and state, which were clearly not appropriate. Had to contact customer service for help to override. Turbo Tax was not timely updated for a Wisconsin law change, resulting in rejection and need to refile once the error was fixed.

Accuracy: when I imported files from Schwab, it created multiple empty files. In another return, it seemed to interpret my composite 1099-R as four different forms. I doubt this year's TurboTax is accurate. Compatibility: it required about five attempts to import my forms from by brokerage. It wouldn't let me import a PDF of my W-2. Compatibility was poor. Features: it's hard to figure out where the numbers are going and why. It's difficult to navigate. Interface: I had to manually enter my W-2. When I imported my composite 1099-R form, it seemed to generate four files in TurboTax, but the program wouldn't let me view the data in the files to see if they were identical. Reporting: I don't know what that means. I dislike the AI features in TurboTax. I paid for TurboTax to do things myself. T

Overall my experience has been good. However, when I purchased the software, I was told that the Hawaii state return was INCLUDED in the charge. When I checked out to file, I was charged $25.00. I did not have a choice but to pay if I wanted my return to be sent. At this time, however, I must complaint about this "bait and switch" strategy. I therefore demand an immediate $25.00 credit to my credit card of record.

had heck ting to get the newest copy your website would not allow me to update my visa and once i did buy it it did not get credit to my account instead I received an email asking me to update my payment so it could be charged for what I already had and then an update lost the links to my filled out Tax return and I had to manually find it and open it so TurboTax would know where it was all in all i wasted over a week working thru problems with TurboTax it was a waste of money in fact all the work I had to do to get my taxes done I figure TurboTax owes me but I will not hold my breath cause y'all think you are good, your noy juts better than the alternates I had time to look art i will definitely be looking for more next year.

I like using both the Online and desktop. Start with Online and finish with Desktop. The desktop is awesome because I can toggle between the Forms and the Steps. And the explanations are more detailed on Desktop. I think it is more accurate using both. I wish I didn't have to pay for both.

I could not transfer my 2024 turbo tax to 2025 turbo tax and had to start from new. And now i was not able to save my new turbo tax 2025 as a pdf file. So i may not be able to transfer the 2025 info to my 2026 tax return. Consequently i will be going to a new tax service next year. After 15 years as a turbo tax user you just lost my business, not that you really care.

I gave less than 5 stars because Turbo Tax does not address Thrift Savings Plans. TSP is similar to and follows, more or less the same rules as IRAs bt is called something different. This only requires a text change on the interfaces. Simple fix, way overdue.

The process to submit is ridiculous, with far more checks and approvals than seems necessary. Then after I hit submit finally, I get bombarded about every 1099 transaction, on whether it is a digital asset, and then looking for name and home addresses on every single transaction from my Chase account. That really sucks. What is up with that?

Turbo Tax has gone down hill since I stare using it. There were a few items in investments that were so unclear as to how to file it. There were things on my 1099B that were not options on the Turbo Tax forms. I also don't understand why I couldn't upload supporting documents to my return instead of having to mail them.

There were 2 confusing aspects this year. I am a Turbotax Advantage member, and purchased the desktop version. But when I opened the Turbotax, there was the confusing online option. I did not know what the difference was, and which to choose. Finally when I had to speak to a tax advisor, he explained since I had already purchased the desktop version, that was what I should use. But how was I to know that???? The second snafu, which he also helped me with, was that I changed computers from Windows last year to Mac this year. The Mac version does not prompt me to save my file when signing off, as the windows version does. So I had to start over several times until he told me to go to File, and click save. Again, how was I to know that??? Finally, I was never able to transfer last years return because of my switch from Windows to Mac.I think the advisor's name was David, and he was very good in helping me.
