I was doing great until, somehow, this 77-year-old managed to get tagged for an early distribution (!!!) and a tax payment, rather than a refund. I couldn't figure out how to find the page where it did that easily, but my phone helper was… this took almost THREE hours and I'm whipped!

Overall good. 1) on Home & Business the new buttons for Interest, Dividend, and Capital Gains are awful - they go in circles if you choose not to import - did not carry forward income sources we had in 2023 - do not provide the reminders to enter all categories - esp. stock trades & alternative investments 2) For Employer Returns, If a vendor address is changed, each use of the vendor needs to be corrected 3) For Employer Returns, account# field (nor any extra fields) is not accessible in some form types, would be handy for Acct#, Prop. Tax & Insurance paid 4) For Employer Returns, Vendor files are not shared to other LLC's need to be recreated for each

Finding some forms to file was far too difficult and painstaking. I was not happy with the additional processing fee TurboTax charged at the very end. So the cost of filing my returns included the purchase price of the software + purchase of state return + additional processing fee. I've used the program for years and things like that irritated me greatly.

I've used TT for decades and found it very well done and complete until this year. It does not handle filing of a Form 8990 required when a K-1 triggers it with an excess interest expense (in my case $70). The 8990 is very confusing especially since the IRS and the K-1 use different terms for each required input. TT not including this for electronic completion and filing is a pretty large hole in their program and cost folks a lot of extra time and trouble.

I've been using TurboTax since 2014 for my small, sole-proprietor business. I have no skills as an accountant, but TurboTax is designed to be a good fit for people like me, It is easy to navigate, quite user-friendly, and fairly simple to understand because of the help-information I can access at any time along the way. I've had great success with TurboTax, and I will continue using this service every year

The software still does not handle two Schedule Cs (each having a home office) well. Also, the home office deduction requires you to enter info in one of two places depending on whether or not you will itemize or take the standard deduction. This information must be provided BEFORE you know which will be taken. Please fix this so that the data can be entered and then used however it should be used based on which deduction is better. Asking the taxpayer to remember to go back and change that is just asking for trouble.

You are quite good on the standard tax issues. However, the product feels not finished or polished to handle common exception items for investments like wash sales, the usage of disallowed losses, the treatment of government securities and the handling of sepa contributions. It requires a lot of reading and figuring out how to make inputs for this

Way too many button clicks and too difficult to search for specific forms. Also, there are so many random charges that pop up; charges for each state return, then charges to E-file those state returns and it won't add your available credits if you pay by credit card, but if you want to pay using your refund there's yet ANOTHER fee. They also charged for a state return for our business partnership but only filled out like 5 lines in that form and required us to print and mail it in; it actually added more work for me to find the areas that needed to be filled in and to print the form and manually fill the ones I couldn't fill using turbotax.

Please pay some attention to a most likely intermittent issue associated with the Payment Module/External Interface/3rd Party API. After trying 6 times, 7th time it took my Expiration month. It was not taking any month after the 7th/8th. Except that it has been always a greatly reliable tool loaded with enriched and easy navigation along with all other nice UI features.

We have used Turbo Tax for several years. It makes my life SOOOOO much easier. I never have to worry about forgetting to submit certain information. I also don't have to be concerned about not doing my math correctly. To me, it is a life-saver at tax time.
