Turbo Tax is adequate.

My only complaint is that when figureds from my 2024 return were needed, they weren't automatically transferred. I have both returns on the same computer, and returns are saved.

Turbotax is vampire

I'm not going use turbotax again on my future tax return. Because not allow me to pay the fee with credit card it it force me to pay with my return, so intuit can charged $40.

Turbo Tax and the Live Expert are a Dynamic Duo!

This is the 12th year I've used Turbo Tax to prepare and file my home/business taxes. This year I used the Live Tax Expert for the first time and was very pleased with the speed in which I received a return phone call, and especially that the tax expert was able to answer my questions.

Could be better.

All was good, filed return and it was rejected. You state that I should go to "Federal Tax Tab" but you don't tell me where that Tab is. Help file was of zero value. Searching Turbo Tax for it was of no value. I would have given Turbo Tax a perfect score, but not now. This ridiculopus for you to have instructions, but cannot provide a link nor information in the Help Files.

Turbo is excellent

I have a simple business return and find that Turbo Tax walked me through the steps. I really appreciate how easy Turbo makes filing. Sometimes there were areas that I needed to double check on Google just to make sure I was entering data into the correct sections but overall Turbo makes entering data as easy as possible

It works, but always with some hiccups

Got my return filed just in time minutes before the extension deadline. Was actually done with the return an hour earlier, but the e-File function generated an error when I tried to pay my State e-File fees by credit card - it never even let me input card information, it timed out on the way to that page with an error stating "Hmm... we seem to have hit a snag. Please try again later." Tried checking online help, which suggested re-running the error checks now that TTax knew I wanted to e-file, and that did catch a couple very minor errors/omissions, but it still didn't solve the e-File error when I tried yet again. What finally worked was selecting to pay the State e-File fee out of our Federal tax return, which I believe is going to cost me an additional $40, so I'm very annoyed that I had to resort to this payment method to get my return to e-File. I really would like to see Intuit refund that $40 since there's no good reason payment by credit card should have been rejected (not rejecting my card - I never even got to enter that info! It rejected the attempt to even select Pay by Credit Card) while payment out of the refund was accepted. Also, TTax clearly doesn't know how to handle (or how to correctly ask and have you input) new address information if you move after the reporting tax year but before you file your return - ie moving in 2025 and then attempting to file your 2024 return including informing TTax about your move. It won't let you change the address without indicating your move date; and it won't accept a move date later than 12/31/2024. I did eventually find another place to change my "current contact info" and altered my address there, but later on in the process of completing my return, that caused other errors (TTax insisted on trying to include the new state in the information for TY2024 resulting in erroneous attempts to fill out a number of forms differently. I finally decided to go back and remove all traces of the move information since I was going to eFile anyway). I already dread TY2025 filing since that will be the move year and we'll need to file two state returns and report sale of a house, as well as special tax info about the new house.

NEW and different problems every year!

Super not happy about the billing at the end (where, exactly, did my $10 "club discount" disappear to? It showed on the final bill, but as soon as I tried to pay to file *poof*, it disappears ...unless I want to pay a $45 "premium service" fee (which is, as far as I can tell, is simply a blatant money grab -- no actual benefit or "service" is added). Adding to that, Turbotax was INSISTING that it needed a whole bunch of random, info on depreciation on a vehicle that I (repeatedly) defined as standard mileage only. Stupid.

Credit from store not applied ... hmmm

The summary showed my store credit of $10, but when I paid for the balance of the State program, which was $15.00, the screen for payment said I owed the total amount for the State software of $25.00 plus tax. I hit back button to see if I missed "applying' the credit, but there was no option for this. I should have only paid the $15.00 plus the tax. Therefore, I would like my refund of the $10.00 which was an overcharge to me.

TurboTax is not totally user frienly

When I tried to e-file my State Return, there was no place for me to enter the credit card information, and then it said my payment did not process--which I knew, because the system did not give me the opportunity to enter that information. I now have to print and mail my state return, which is a tremendous inconvenience.

TurboTax - meh! Same and new issues. Do better.

Every year for the last 30 years I fight with TurboTax on depreciation. This year was another headache. Key forms were missing and I had to review every worksheet to correct many things. Inheritied IRAs are yet another headache. Found out when I called the IRS that only my tax id was protected by an extension. My other half's tax id was not protected by the extension filed through TurboTax. This comes into play when filing Married filing separate. The IRS stated two filing extensions need to be - one for each tax id. TurboTax, you are paid to know all federal and state laws.
