Bought this air conditioner for a 3 season room that has glass on three sides. The 12x20 room was always shaded by several large trees until last year when they came down. Now the room is in full sun most of the day with temperatures reaching up to 95 degrees. This air conditioner will frost us out if we don’t put the thermostat on a set temperature. This is a great product and easy to set up.

This unit is amazing. We used it in our camper because the camper ac was not working very well. it did an excellent job and was very cold Currently we are using it as a helper to the main ac in our family room and it keeps it cool in the hot southern summers. The only bad thing was the delivery by Fed.. I left instructions that if our gate was shut to deliver it next door ( at my mother in laws home) But they left it outside the gate exposed to passing traffic… I wish they would use a different delivery service. I think I will just have things sent to a Sam's near me and pick it up myself.

So far this unit has been amazing cooling and heating as it should. Yes on the cold morning we tried the heat and it was in my opinion amazing. I really like the ability to control from my phone.

I share an office with folks that like it much warmer than I do, and my office is the warmest in the building by far. I to have a window that opens for the vent, so I picked this up to see if it would do the job. WOW, this thing pumps out the cold! My office is 12'x12' with 11' ceilings, and I can get it like a refrigerator now. Taking it out of the box was a little intimidating, as there are a lot of part included for different installations, but once you read the directions it is very straight forward. Make sure you check the Styrofoam on top and bottom, there are parts tucked into the foam that you might miss and accidentally throw away. Mine was a standard installation on a vertical open window, took about 15 minutes after I got everything open. You will probably not use all the parts provided. This thing is really cold. I usually have it on low, medium and low are very quiet. High is a little loud, but the force of the fan on high is very powerful. I cooled my office from 78 to 70 on high in 3 minutes. I really love the swing feature, it rotates the vents from pointing vertical to horizontal, circulating the air in the entire room. I set mine up so the fan is constant, but the compressor turns on and off to keep a constant temp. you can also set it so the entire unit turns on and off. I have not paired this with my phone yet, so cannot comment on that feature, though it looks interesting. My unit also will heat, but it is May in Arkansas, will be some time before I put that to use. Overall, I think this is a great purchase, and a value at the cost. It is exactly what I needed, and I have had many comments from visitors to my office that they might need one as well

Awesome purchase for our bonus room. For years struggled with temperature in 24x24 bonus room. Too hot in summer. Too cold in winter. Looked into split unit but way too expensive. Bought this unit and am so happy. Cools very quickly. It is very quiet. Easy to install. Too early to tell about the heat function but don’t expect anything but the same results. Would highly recommend.

Nice!! Performs as expected and advertised. Very easy setup, varying LOW decibels, not bad in high fan mode. Most importantly, it is standing up nicely in this record heat!

Ability to cool/warm up room 440 sf is 5 stars! No complaints! However, the remote is not always in sync with the unit and useless. I find myself turning the power on/off on the unit itself instead. Additionally, the window installation kit was a bit confusing. No instructions of which side should be faced inside vs outside. We used up the materials and found the install awkward and had to change it around. Had to go purchase additional materials. Plus the casing was very flimsy and not sturdy as extended to 60 inches. My husband ended MacGyvering the window install. Cold air coming through the connectors and cracks and cranny. Had to purchase foam insulation to stuff into every crack. The hose supplied for the heater mode is only about 18 inches. Useless, as the drainage requires elevation. Found myself going to Home Depot many times for something that is supposed to be plug in play.

I am beyond frustrated with Midea's customer service. I spent a lot of money on their powerful 14K portable AC, which was supposed to have a 2-year warranty. I purchased it on September 12, 2023. When it stopped working in August 2025, a month before the warranty was up, I spent 40 minutes troubleshooting with a rep. What did I get in return? An email telling me the warranty had expired. It's incredibly disappointing that Midea won't stand behind their most expensive portable AC. The warranty was a major reason I chose this unit, and it's a huge letdown.

Compressor died after 2 months and 1 week. It worked great before then. But dont think I probably got the one bad unit. This was my second unit from Midea. The first lasted one year and a half before the error code for low freon came up and the unit stopped cooling. Weird how a fairly new unit that was perfectly maintained suddenly loses all the freon. Also the plastic hose started disintegrating upon removal ( and its not in the sun). I have owned other brands and the hose was still in great shape after 4 years. I would not have bought the second unit but they are the only manufactures of a 12K DOE portable unit. Due to my crazy window I have to use a portable. Also, plan on spending hours attaching the hose attachment to the window. Its cheap, flimsy and leaky. I ended up purchasing tons of tapes and foams to seal the holes and gaps. I would never say this is portable from room to room as the window connector has so many gaps.

It leaked all over my house and ruined a ceiling. Sam’s Club was excellent and very helpful but Midea was slow to respond with help. Each email took about 2-3 days to go out and back. Finally we just returned it as we could not find the source of the leak. If you get one, test it outside first (rather than on a second floor where a leak can create a real mess). Otherwise seemed nice.
