The app coverage of 1099-LTC was very poor compared to prior versions of Federal Only apps. This makes me want to work with a new tax software next year. Also the Federal Only apps did a better job of selecting forms completed to work on-- I'm terribly disappointed with this Primier version. I will be evaluating other tax softwares next year that are user friendly towards entering 1099-LTC and rental expenses.

I am holding back on the 1 star as filing for the non-resident NY state vs the NJ resident state tax return, there is no guidance in the software screen how to handle W-2's col 14 NYSRCINCOM to proportionate the income in the non-resident return filing. That was disappointing and I had to pay for live tax advisor for 1 question. Can you improve this for the next version? Thanks!!

This year, the email instructions for downloading didn't match what I had to go through. I could not find the "downloads" tab when I signed in. The landing page was for a tax expert option. Then had to figure out which Turbotax option I wanted to "buy". I took me 30 minutes to get to the correct page. Went back and forth to from the Turbotax to the Intuit websites. Or maybe I just needed more instructions than provided. Once downloaded, I was able to enter the tax information although the dividend/interest page entry was confusing at first since it was a redesign. The ability to download tax packages from sites is a great service. I have used this product for multiple years and have recommended it to people depending on their tax situation.

Entering return information was fine. Wish that Head of Household status came earlier and was acknowledged before I went through itemized deductions. It would be nice to have the option to do a MANUALLY Entered 1040 without having to provide supporting docs just to see different scenarious.

Navigation is difficult. I am use to the bad navigation because I am a repeat user. A new user would be confused and would have great difficulty using the tool. It is very difficult to go back and make corrections on imported data. The error messages provided in the review lack information or context, making it very difficult to understand what correction needs to be made.

Activating was the toughest part. First because I had increased the text size on my computer, I couldn't prove I wasn't a robot. I got rid of my old home phone number and that where you wanted to send a code. After 10 hours I finally got it activated with the help of a number of friendly helpful Turbotax phone representatives. When came to doing taxes it was easy.

Struggles on RMD. Everything entered right off 1099.Error check review this item about 10 times. Went back to where I entered the 1099. Deleted it. Re-entered same information again. Worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS never had this problem with Turbo Tax in last 20 years

Your product failed to inform me that I needed to submit a state tax form (Kansas form K-94) in order for my tax credit to be applied. I filed my taxes and was awaiting a refund only to receive a letter from the Kansas Department of Revenue telling me that my filing was deficient. I went into Turbo Tax to find the form and it's not part of the forms that your product generated.

Overall easy to use, but import from my financial institution was messy this year. Also, the w2 import (from ADP) did not work and required manual entry. One error was only caught during electronic transmission and not during the checks/verification process. I don't believe it makes any material difference to the return, but annoying all the same. I have been using TT for almost 20 years, and this was the clumsiest experience thus far

Very difficult to enter hurricane casualty loss. I may have done this incorrectly. How to enter investment and margin expenses when not itemizing deductions is difficult to identify correct forms. Also PTP k-1 additional information is very difficult...some entries are not required or possible.
