Had terrible time with the Foreign Tax paid on one 1099-DIV form. Need better instructions for it. When I went to Forms on Turbo Tax to find Form 1116, I had bad experience going back to the tax return I was working on: 2024. If one needs to pay more or less, one needs a way to go back to the payment section. Also, would like to print separate screens from TurboTax while entering information, if possible.

This year the software is a lot more buggy. For example: 1. I could not import my W2 because the fields did not register space and special characters 2. It did not include my mortgage interest deduction until I completely delete and re-enter the form again

was good but will not let me print my returns this year like last year I don't know what you changed,that made it so that I could not print this years returns out for my records.I did my taxs for the last 10 years using turbotax I don't know if i will use it again.

It's absurdly slow, it's buggy, it crashes, the updates take forever. State returns in particular are poorly implemented. A lot of the imports are broken (Schwab and Intuit have been having a stupid slap-fight and blaming each other for a decade now). It constantly tries to upsell you on premium features or services like "audit defense" that you probably don't need. BUT. It's still miles better than any of the competition - taxact, freetaxusa, etc, they're all just abominable in comparison.

Help is not good. I had/have specific questions about Max Social Security Tax. We are filing jointly, and the sum of our SS tax (as shown on Box 5 of W-2) exceeds 10,300. Turbotax said it would automatically calculate that credit. It did not show it. In fact, Schedule 3, line 11 shows zero. I checked in Help and it did not show the answer. I may have to claim it next year.

Ran into some bugs while filing. Also if you want to efile your federal return AND pay additional fees for the processing, turbo tax had some $45 add on that they quietly tack on at the end--if you choose not to do that you can go back and pay the lesser fee (i think it was $15) with a credit card. But I thought that was pretty shady business and not very transparent of them.

I have been using Turbo Tax for more than 10 years and this is the worst product you have ever distributed. The changes made this year to the Investments section are awful. After importing the 1099-B from my brokerage, I had to manually review and change the classification of literally every Long-term and Short-term entry. The User Interface supplied to make those changes was cumbersome and clunky.

1. In previous versions after 3-4 times saying "No" to importing from bank or other, you no longer saw that screen. Current version shows it EVERY time. 2. When choosing DIV or INT or any other box it should automatically move to next screen without having to scroll down on a (laptop) and select Enter or Next. Too many clicks!! Time is important as are ergonomics. 3. Clarify when using the word "None" as in do not enter or enter $0.00 Thanks for reading looking forward to seeing these updates in future versions. :-)

I don't like that Turbotax saves last years form downloads from previous year with $0. After I download the current year's, I need to find and delete last years. It also doesn't handle the permitted transfer from a 529 plan to a Roth IRA. If I wasn't checking carefully I would have paid taxes on the 1099Q. Other than that it works pretty good.

The pop up screen to sign into TT, lockup my screen and made me hard start my computer. That is an annoying glitch you need to fix. Also why try to wring another 40 dollars out of your customers at the very end just before e-filing. Seems kinda chinsy. I would also like to add info and documents just by searching in the program like typing in 1095-C into search. TT did not want to let me do that.
