These picks are made with a Microtextured Fiber, which we have designed to be soft and durable to offer an exceptional clean, and this is not the level of performance that we would expect. While most of our floss picks are made with this material, we do have a few traditional flosses, such as our Oral-B Essential Floss and Oral-B Satin Floss, that are made with different formulas. It sounds like you have already done this, but since you are experiencing discomfort while using these picks, we do recommend discontinuing the use of the product.
