Positives of this product are that the color and picture clarity is good. Easy to install, connects to both monitor and phone app. Negatives of this product is that video relay to screen is a little delayed and the wide angle distortion starts to far from the camera for our needs.

The DVR is working great. Only have one negative comment. The unit supports 10 cameras. I am using 6. I cannot find a way to disable the other 4 unused cameras and they fill one third of the TV screen with unused blank camera spaces. Other than that a good security system.

Machine is great and easy to setup. The app is not easy to setup also would like to see the app available for smart tv so the view is large. When interface the phone to tgg by e tv the pi’s is small like on the phone

The cameras are good quality but the app has a bunch of bugs, for one I turn off human detection and it keeps turning it back on. I get way too many notifications and can't shut the ones off I need

VERY POOR COMPANY

THIS COMPANY SOLD THIS PRODUCT KNOWING THE SOFTWARE DID NOT WORK FOR COMPUTERS. WHEN I CALLED SUPPORT THEY TOLD ME THEY WERE WORKING ON IT. THEY TOLD ME EVERYBODY THAT HAS THIS SYSTEM IS IN THE SAME BOAT. I CALLED BACK A WEEK LATER AND GOT THE SAME STORY. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR THAT I COULD UNDERSTAND THEY SAID NO. TOLD ME TO TAKE IT BACK TO SAMS CLUB. VERY POOR !!! ONLY A FOOL WOULD BUY THIS SYSTEM AFTER HEARING THIS !!!

Avoid at all cost

By far the worst security cam system I've ever used! The swan I thought was the worst but this takes the cake. Heat issues that cause it to shut down. Can't display the video out of HDMI without crashing it. Cameras are supposed to be heat sensing but yet detect leaves as a human face. But then when a human walks all the way across the camera field it two-thirds of the time doesn't pick it up! Notifications are incredibly slow. App is even worse. This brand should be completely removed from Sam's club, does Minot match up to the , does match the quality I would expect from any product offered. Avoid at all cost!!!!

These are garbage. Don't buy them. 2 years in, 4 of the cameras no longer work the DVR HDD is dead, and customer service is non responsive and not at all helpful. My cameras sound a voice alarm at random even though I have sound alerts turned off on each one. The app is garbage. Run the other way.

Garbage

SAVE YOUR MONEY. THEIR PRODUCTS LEAK WATER, THEN THEY BLAME YOU FOR IT HAPPENING! NIGHT OWL HAS ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND TRULY DOESN'T HELP THE PURCHASER! Updates cancel security viewing

Bought one three years ago. Everytime we went to cottage for several months company would do an "update" and we lost mobile access until we could return "home" to do "update"? What good is a security system if you loose access when you need it while away. You would think the update could wait, but seems to not be the case with Night Owl.

Garbage Products and Service

Have spent months yes months working with this company to solve recording issues with their product. First if you are having an issue adjusting the zone sensitivity for each camera under record settings it’s not just you. We tried it on 4 different phones and the system will just reset it to medium if you set the lowest setting. They tried to play it off as a phone issue. Nope. Ultimately they didn’t address the issue and implied a refund and then recanted because it went past 30 days even though we had been working the issue. To make matters worse during the troubleshooting they shipped me a replacement nvr and put it is a large usps mailer box with absolutely no packing material. Ultimately this was not a fix. This system will say it sees a face or car when there is nothing there. The main reason I wanted to adjust the sensitivity. Just so you know they use the same software on all their kits so I would avoid them all together. If I could give 0 stars for this company I would. Absolutely terrible experience and product.
