Pretty Easy Setup & It's Working Great

I haven't fully installed the system yet, but I have it on my desk checking everything. i also ordered a two pack or the WiFi add-on cameras and have those installed and up and running. The camera angel is great as is the quality of the images. I have yet to figure out the intricacies of programming each camera, but I'll get there. I really like being able to add the additional 4 WiFi cameras and setup was easy once I got the cameras on the 2.4 of my mesh system. At first, when I added the WiFi cameras the app would recognize them as separate devices and the app would not let me add the WiFi cameras to the DVR. To get it to work, I had to temporarily turn off everything except the 2.4 on my mesh because at first the app or the DVR was not recognizing the WiFi cameras as additions to the DVR. In the end, everything worked as advertised and I think I'll be very happy with the system. I want to add that the presales team was very responsive to me. Also, there is a ton of support videos on the Night Owl site that walks you though everything..

They are a nice upgrade from our old 8 camera system with Night Owl but the app does seem to lag more, and I can't move from screen to screen as easily as the old system.

Get a system with better technology.

The Camera's are great but the tecnology is horrible. Have had this system for a couple of years and most of the time it does not record important events, only useless stuff. The app constantly crashes and its very difficult to access important videos on the mainframe. Not to mention the mainframe constantly logs you out. Get a system with better technology.

Bad experience

For assistance I went to YouTube as instructed, then tried chat, finally found a number to call. I selected English, the female proceeded to make fun of my name in Spanish, some other female laughed. I asked if I was calling Night Owl, she said yes it’s technical support. In Spanish I asked what was so funny about my name, she hung up on me. I called right back to complain, I was told all calls are monitored? End result I will return cameras after various attempts plus 3 calls, due to rudeness, lack of customer service and language barrier after I requested someone that could understand me. They are not permitted to disclose if they are located in another country.

Good Luck

Zero support. They claim 9am-9pm phone support, call and 80% change you'll be on hold until after 9pm at which time it'll tell you the support line is closed. Chat support is useless. When I did get a hold of somebody, they had to "Escelate it to engineering," who never responded after requesting my receipt and photo of the device's serial number, which was provided. So frustrating, not worth it.
