I used tide at my mother in laws and I thought something was wrong with her washer. I came home and as soon as I ran out of tide and bought a new bottle, I realized the scent changed. It is a terrible smell, like cigarette smoke covered in perfume. I been using tide for over 30 years and have never had a problem paying more for it because it smelled clean and did a great job. Not the case anymore. It actually gives me a headache, my hubby even noticed it and trust me that stuff doesn't bother him.

The detergent is now more concentrated, so you would need lesser quantity for a clean wash cycle. I have also noticed that excessive suds is not an issue with Tide and I can actually use Tide in cold water with the same results.

This Tide will remove stains and odors and really deep clean the fabric so that clothes come out of the washer smelling fresh and feeling soft. Stains come out in the first wash; no need to throw the clothes in again. When I wash my husband's clothes with Tide, the colors remain as bright as they did going into the wash.
