I bought this shampooer last weekend and could not wait to get home to use it. Super easy to put together. I am utterly shocked at how much suction this has. My bedroom carpets are 20 years old and we have been looking around to replace them but needed to give them a good cleaning to hold us off from buying for a while. I can tell you that these 20 year old carpets look practically like new. The dry time was a little over a hour and with my old unit it took an entire day for them to dry. The amount of water used while cleaning is immediately sucked up. The cleaning solution is the best I have used as well. Also I love how you don’t have to pull the trigger to make the solution come out….now you simply move the unit forward and the solution comes out automatically and when you pull back it pulled the solution back up. I have shampooed the carpet in my entire house already and will use the handheld spot cleaner to do our sectional and couch this weekend. Very happy with this purchase and have been raving to all my friends and family about how well this worked. Highly recommend!! You will it be disappointed!!!

It is lighter weight, has multiple settings and picked up dirt and other stains very well. The detergent that comes with it smells really nice and fresh. The only thing I would change is for this machine to have larger water tanks. They are not tiny, but not as big as many other machines. No issues with leaking and the suction on the drying mode works very well.

I was impressed with how much dirt it pulled out of our area rugs. It is light weight, maneuverable and easy to use. It comes with the StainStriker attachment - a smaller power brush that works well on seats and chairs. The suction power is excellent on the main unit and the StainStriker attachment. Our only suggestion for improvement is a tighter seal around the water collector to prevent dirty water from dripping back onto the carpet. Overall, I recommend this carpet cleaner for ease of use, powerful suction and ability to clean dirt out of carpets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this because we have 3 small dogs and they tend to make a mess at times and have had a couple of accidents on the rugs, and even on our furniture, since one is still a puppy and learning to control her bladder. On the carpet, it worked great and the cleaning solution smells really good, so I will definitely buy more or that! The box it came in even had a QR code to make ordering easier. The suction really is powerful , making for quicker dry times. However, the part that you can add solution to clean spots on your stairs and upholstery didn’t work at all for me. The solution went from the container on the suction piece directly onto the collection tank without even dampening the upholstery. I tried watching the video, but that wasn’t the least bit helpful to actually use the “stain master” & I ended up using the smaller suction piece and just spraying the solution on first and that part worked great! It did leave some lines, though, so using a bit of a zig zag pattern seems to do better for cleaning with. If you buy this product for your carpet, it works much better than for the upholstery. It’s also easy to put together and take apart afterwards to clean with. Just don’t leave the dirty stuff in the containers. Clean it out.

But this thing gets the toughest stains out great! I used it on my area rug that I have had forever and it fluffed it back up and has it looking great and clean!

This carpet cleaner has been hands down the best one we've purchased over the last 25 years. My only complaint is not with the machine itself but the cleaning solution. It leaves a waxy feel to the carpet. We just used hot water and vinegar and it cleaned better with no residue. Machine itself is phenomenal! With cleaning and sucking up the water

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had the Shark Carpet Xpert machine a while but haven’t had time to review because of a family emergency and had to leave town. With nervous cats, I came home to some vomit on my rug and the usual spray I left for the pet sitter still left a visible stain. This Shark carpet cleaner is just the right size to move up and down stairs and clean small messes easily. Yes, the reservoir is smaller than a commercial rental machine but it tackles both new and old stains mightily. Now off to finish the stair carpet since this machine is easy to use and the smaller head works to get into crevices. Quality seems good and I expect it to last for quite some time.
