After being disappointed with another brand of comparable size, I decided after reading 2 independant reviews of the top 5 and top 10 portable 12K generators to purchase the Westinghouse WGen9500 (which is 12K start up). The attention to detail was the first thing I noticed as I unboxed it. After attaching the wheels and base legs and putting the oil (which was supplied) in the crankcase, and 1 gallon of gas in tank, I pushed the electric start button. It took between 2-3 seconds to start and ran smoothly. The first thing I noticed was the quietness for this size generator. I have 2 smaller generators and it is quieter than either. The remote start feature is really nice. I went in the house which is 40 yds from my shop, hit the button and it started immediatley. Hooked a load to it and it performed flawlessly. I bought it for power back for my home but have not hooked it to transfer power and test it yet, since I have only had it a few days. It is also very easy to move and manuever with the big wheels and handle. I am very impressed and would recommend it to anyone who needs this size generator.

Just bought this for California's power shut off and it is exactly what I needed. I am on well water and that proves to be a major inconvenience with no power. This unit runs my well, lights, appliances, and even the dryer if I shut down other loads appropriately. Would definitely recommend. It even arrived 3 days before it was scheduled to!

Generator works well for 1500 square-foot home. Generator is easy to use Put together and to understand. Weston house is a well-known company with good products and this is one of them. I will purchase this generator again if I had to or other Western House products.

Bought this 12 KW Generator to run the house. Being prepared for Hurricane season living here in the south, this product being name brand and full of the features needed, purchased due to great price, features, and name brand. Well built and sturdy. Great product.

This all the watts I need. Even with Electric start and a remote(that work 100%) I had to test it old school first and started 1st pull. Used twice already and runs smooth. Battery was wired already with a push connector(EASY).Handle was already on. Just had to install wheels and feet. Strong frame, has a maintenance schedule sheet, follow that and your good for years. Just a high quality generator.

We got off to a bad start 2 switches and 3 generators later before it work right. Ok I got over that but when I call for help on new equipment l was told it would be 5 days before I would get help . Something to think about in a loss of power situation!!!

I bought this a month ago, watched tutorial on you tube which was helpful. walked through and started up my generator and hooked it to my electric panel. this was able to handle stove, 2 refrigerators, all lights, tv, etc.. did not try AC or W/D. ran beautifully.

I got this generator in Jan. I just open the box and it was packed great. It was better than i expected I put the oil in and charge the battery, this generator has it all, I can't wait to use it. To of my family members want to buy this generator Wgen9500df. I am so glad I got this model Westinghouse puts out a great product thank you

Love the electric start, runs smooth and quiet, easy to move. The initial start up was easy however had to buy more oil for the first start up. Can't give it a 5 because we haven't lost power yet to use it. Pretty confident that it will provide us the power to our house when that happens. No stress if storms are forecasted. Have recommended it to my sister.

I just bought this unit but compared to my old one it is very nice. I love the remote start feature and the push button start/stop. (I only hope the eletronics hold up). The engine is easy to start using the pull cord (and Im glad it has one). I dropped a star because it doesnt have a 12V outlet for charging 12 volt batteries and it is not as quiet as I would have liked. I expected 2019 technology would have cut the noise levels by half from that of my 20 year old generac. However, that doesn't make me wish i had paid way more money for a "red painted" competetor. So far I think this is well worth the cost and I'm glad I bought it
