Excited to put it to use during our frequent outages during strong weather here in Maine. Upgrading from a small 3250watt unit to this WGEN9500 & we know it will do the trick! Remote Start I could not be more excited for!

When the generator arrived, it was very simple to get the wheels on and get it set to run. It started easily and ran great. I liked that the oil was even supplied. I plugged several different things in and ran them singly and combined and it powered everything. I ran it on gas and haven't tried the propane yet. I would say I can't wait until the next power outage to use it, but I'll have to settle for I'm glad to have it for the next power outage.

This generator was delivered in perfect condition. It has all the features in a portable generator that I wanted. The duel fuel option was the absolute must. If you run out of gas, then you can switch to propane. Propane has such a long shelf life. I am also getting a 50amp transfer switch installed on on panel so I can easily just plug in the generator without having extension cords running throughout the house. The running watts has plenty of power to run a central air unit, two fridge's and some lights. Just what you would need during a power outage.

It powers our camper no problem and can power most of our house during outages we couldn't be happier it opens up so many options for us such as off grid camping and getting our son out of the house who has severe autism and otherwise don't leave!!!!!

After several weeks of deliberation and reading reviews I decided on the Westinghouse generator for my purchase based on the quality, feature set, and price of this unit in that order. I have a few friends that have the westinghouse brand and they could not speak highly enough of the product. I actually borrowed one from a friend when I knew the power was going to be out for several days and had no problem running everything in my house. After delivery, I was not disappointed. This generator is built to last. Everything about it screams quality. Something as simple as a fuel shutoff being a metal petcock verses a plastic one. Up to 12 hour runtime is way above the rest, this allows me to get a full night sleep while running on generator power instead of waking up to a cold house due to running out of fuel in the middle of the night. Assembly was a breeze. Attaching wheels and legs took less than 10 minutes. I opted on 5w-30 synthetic oil since it can get quite cold in Ohio. Admittedly I have yet to fire this generator up, but based on past experience I feel like this is still a valid review.

I can’t give a full review except I put about 10 minutes of gas in it and plugged in a power tool to test it. It started right up using the electric start. The power tool didn’t show up on the volt meter. The display is a little cheesy. It also read 62 Hertz. with no load. Other than the volt/hour/hertz display being sub par, knowing some low priced generators offer an app. I’m quite happy. I wasn’t able to put it under a heavy load or run it for a long period of time. I do plan to use the 50 amp plug to supply my house during an outage. In conclusion the generator is a beauty. It was quieter than my 3500w generator and It appears to be very well built. I couldn’t find a generator to match it for this price. Please Westinghouse with all that beauty, I pray for reliability when the time comes. Don’t fail me. Reliability is key. Otherwise I just bought a beautiful piece of junk.

I bought this generator to power my entire house in the event of a prolonged power outage. It was packaged very well with easy to follow instructions on setup and operation. It comes with oil (you have to add prier to starting) and a funnel for easy filling. I'm running mine on propane and after connecting the propane tank it started right up. I love the remote. Just push the button and it starts. I have my house circuit panel wired with a generator inlet. In testing it, I cut the main breaker to the power grid, used a 50 amp extension cord connecting to the circuit panel inlet. I turned on my A/C, electric stove, microwave, TV and all my lights and the WGen9500DF didn't miss a beat. This is the first generator I have owned and it is a little noisier than I expected. I have it in my attached garage with the exhaust safely vented outside but when I'm in the house I can hardly hear it. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and can't wait for the next power outage :-).

We bought it about less than a month ago for hurricane season and we haven't tried it yet but we based it on it's description and for our needs and we also bought it based on the reviews of other people. After we test it out we will write more reviews. Also the delivery was fast and it arrived in good condition.

Once you get the hang of it, this machine is a reliable power source. However, the initial setup can be frustrating due to unclear instructions. It took some trial and error to fully understand the generator's functions. A more comprehensive quick start manual would definitely improve the user experience. Despite this hiccup, the generator's performance and the remote start feature make it a valuable asset.
