I purchased a different brand generator over the summer and wasn’t happy with it. I ordered this WGen9500DF unseen except for description and a few pics and I must say I am blown away by the power, the absolute best features and ease of starting. You push the start button and walk away, everything is automatic. You can even start it while your sitting in your house with the remote start feature! Ample power for the entire house. So happy.

I just bought this a week ago and received it yesterday. I couldn’t get it to run. I found the fuel solenoid valve on the bottom of the carb gummed up and sticky. Cleaned it up and it fired right up. It runs fine but I probably need to rejet the carb for my elevation. I load tested the unit with two 1500 watt space heaters and looked at the sine wave with my oscilloscope. With no load the sine wave is a little noisy but with a load it is surprisingly clean. I have only ran it on gas but I like having the option to run on propane. I’m happy and satisfied.

Bought this unit to serve as a backup to our rural mountain house. Right out of the box, with less than 5 minutes assembly time, I connected it to a fuel source and it started right up! Time will tell, but with the Westinghouse name, I have all the confidence that it will serve our needs with ease.

I bought this because our old generator needed a new carburetor. And with a new carburetor it still was not working properly. I like the Westinghouse because it had so many great reviews. I like the dual fuel, gas or propane, the remote start, the battery and charger. For so many features it was a good price. I now have a good working generator for the next time we lose power.

Purchased hoping for whole or nearly whole house capability. Just ran a test. Started first attempt, let warm up then changed house over to the generator via the 50A connection to transfer switch. Slowly added AC, water heater, stove and entire electric panel. It handled everything! Very pleased.

We were in the market for a generator that was capable of powering our home in the event of a power outage. This generator has all the features I was looking for and some I didn't know existed. The remote start is awesome and even works from inside the house with the generator in the back yard. I didn't expect that. Setup was simple. It started right up. No issues.

I bought this in Oct 2022. It was delivered quickly. It was on a palette in a regular cardboard box, so I had to cut the box open to get to it. It was able to pull it part way out and lift up the end to attach the wheels and legs. Finally able to run it today and it is doing great. So happy to have the dual fuel and so many starting options. My meter says it is producing about 42 DB noise level. Put a minor load on it and it is cruising along. Bonus cover will be a great help in storage.

Very well packaged. The feet and wheels went on fast and easy. I tried to pair the remote and never did see the "red" light indicating it paired. I decided I'd look at that later. I hooked it up to propane for the initial start-up, turned the selector switch to "propane", turned it to "run", pushed the "electric start" button and it started right up and purred like a kitten. After a short while I hit the stop button on the fob that I thought hadn't paired and it shut the unit down. So it must have paired and I just hadn't seen the red indicator light. Hardly worth mentioning, but the fob is sent attached to the recoil starter rope by the pull handle via a metal carabiner clip that during shipping scratches some paint off the recoil cover. All the other loose items are very nicely packaged in zip-lock baggies and stuffed into the cardboard packaging. I don't know why the fob isn't tossed in one of the baggies as well. Again not a big deal, just a head-scratcher as to why... I'm VERY happy that I decided to go with this Westinghouse dual-fuel generator. Obviously I've not had a change to use it for it's intended purpose, but it sure seems like a super nice unit to me.

I purchased this 9500 DF at the recommendation of our electrician. It has been a lifesaver in more than five hurricanes running smoothly every time. it ran a 3 1/2 ton HVAC. And two freezers and an espresso machine without skipping a beat. Amazingly, after hurricane Helene, She was found 3 feet underwater salt water.!!! We were panic, stricken, as that was our only power source for the foreseeable 5 to 6 days! Amazingly, we cleared out the air intake the carburetor and drained all the salt water from the muffler spring anti-corrosive spray throughout the machine. She ran there after for six days with hurricane Helene and is still running today as I write this with hurricane Milton damage. The to the machine has been the corrosion of saltwater on the wiring, and we have been able to splice fresh wiring and keep her running. We will purchase West gen Generators for all of our properties, They are built bulletproof! Only thing I would changes and recommend is putting marine grade wiring for saltwater environments, but other than that, kudos to the people in the factory that built these!

Purchased back in June after a tornado left us without power for several days. I refuse to deal with that again. After weeks of research, I decided on this 9500DF and couldn't have picked a better model. She's a beauty and will power exactly what we need to be comfortable.
