My father purchased this generator for me so that in the winter, if we lost power, I could still run the central propane heating system and essential electric needs. After connecting to propane line, it started right away and ran smoothly. I ran the house electricity with it for the 5 hour break-in period with the hot water heater turned off so as not to draw too much current. It did a fantastic job of keeping my gas heat and electrical appliances running.

I purchased the generator to provide emergency power to my home during inclement weather events that cause long term loss of power. It provides ample power to run the major necessities in my home. I like the electric start feature as well as the ability to run on gasoline or propane.

After studying tri-fuel generators carefully for the last several months, I finally pulled the trigger on purchasing this Westinghouse 9500 TFC. Could not be happier with the purchase. This generator is absolutely solid. Setup was a breeze, and coupled with a power inlet box to my my panel, I can confidently power up much of my entire house, including my air conditioner. Instructions are clear and simple. Generator was packed and shipped very securely. Highly recommend the tri-fuel series. Running this off of natural gas straight from my house.

I bought this for the size and the dual fuel option. I had an older gas powered generator, but was constantly having to clean and drain the carburetor. Using propane means no more carb issues. I also liked the 50amp receptacle. Assembly was only installing two wheels and the two front feet, which took 10 minutes.

Generator works great after I finally got it to start. Surprisingly, it starts quicker on propane than it does gas. I drained the battery trying to start it on gas (over 50 degrees outside) with choke and no choke, so I'm thankful it comes with a trickle charger that can be left plugged in overnight. I finally hooked up a propane bottle and it fired up immediately (no choke) at 33 degrees. Once started on propane, I have had no problems starting and running on either propane or gas - it definitely needs to be choked for cold starting on gas. The remote start is nice but I'll probably never use it - my wife will, lol! The enclosed operating manual is easy to follow. It is also a very simple 10 - 12 minute procedure to change the bonded ground wire on the inside of the alternator if needed as we did here at the ranch because of the GFCI plugs. After we got it up and running, we methodically started turning things on in the house without any issues. We have a 3300 sq. ft. (3 BR, 3 bath) house and ran the freezer and refrigerator, fire place blower/fan, had a light on in every room, a light in three closets, a light in all three bathrooms, and ran two electric space heaters, TV and the microwave - never had an issue. This unit is easily set up within minutes. I really only have two issues: 1) It was very hard to get started on gas the first time so I recommend starting on propane and you can easily switch from propane to gas and gas to propane while running, and; 2 (It takes forever to fill up because the screen on the fuel tank is so restrictive. That being said, after running now for two days, I would likely buy this product or one size bigger if I need another one. Quick and easy to put the wheels and feet on the unit. Mac at the ranch

Purchased this mainly with a desire to have electric start. The also supplies a remote Key Fob for start and stop operations. Sweet. I learned with electric / remote start, the choke / run are set automatically and have 3 attempts. Although mine start right off every time, gas or propane. Battery and oil for break-in are supplied. Also, the generator has a charging port and Westinghouse supplies the power plug too. And basic hand tools. Although no wrench 19mm(?) is supplied for the tightening or remove all for the LPG connection to the generator. Speaking of that, gas or propane dual fuel. Both work fantastic and switching between the two while running is flawless. As I said, it will start with gas or propane too. The propane connection is supplied. While running, the transition is quite flawless. Other features key to me carbon monoxide sensor and 40A / 50A plug ports. To maintain, all operations(oil, carb, manual pull starter, etc are easily accessible. Smart engineering. We connect ours directly to the Generlink interface for safer operation with power crews and less modifications to have an electrician do anything with the main AC panel. See photo. There are plenty of other generator photos but this is nice. Oh, there is an ST switch option to plug into the generator and into your house. When power loss is detected it will remote start the generator. However, with the GenerLink, that’s not possible. I have recommended this to my neighbors and friends.

Purchased in June and received July 8th. Decided to go ahead and start up to make sure it worked. Put in gas and oil, pushed the Start button, automatically tried to start the generator, cycled twice and no start. I finally checked closer and the choke was not engaged. Corrected and pushed Start and....it started running. I love the push button start and the Key Fob Remote Start...it really works. I let it run about 15 minutes, shut it down, restarted it about 30 minutes later and it was so easy...just push the Start button or the button on the Key Fob and it started on the second try. Due to Covid-19, I am waiting on the electrician to get it installed to an outside 50 amp box which will connect it to my breaker box in the garage and will also have a special breaker installed so there will be a seamless transfer in case we have a power outage, which is likely since I live in Florida and we have hurricanes. I thoroughly researched generators for months because I have never owned one. This Westinghouse generator is highly rated and recommended. It is rated to run the house A/C as well as refrigerator, lights, etc. Will have to follow directions to properly used when I get everything installed.

Great generator, super powerful, and dependable. I used this while building a shop as full-time power, and it never missed a beat. Now I will use it for power outages and other high-output jobs. You will not be disappointed with the generator. If you are looking for a generator of this size, buy it now. 

I looked at a number of other generators and for the price, the WGen9500 was the best deal and got very high ratings. Especially like the easy start button and the remote start feature. Plenty of power for the money! A well laid out and packaged unit. Easy to set up and go. Had it up and running in 15 minutes from the time I took it out of the packaging.

After Tropical Storm Isaias took out my town/state and left us without power for days on end (our power company was BEYOND ill prepared) I vowed this would be the last time. I was going to purchase a smaller/less powerful model but after a lot of discussion, research and thought, I pulled the trigger on the WGen9500. I haven't 'used' it yet but I have unboxed, put it together (very minimal and it came with tools and no brainer steps) and fired it up. I have a switch and a cable coming to attach it to my house, but can used corded for now should I lose power. If I never need to DO or USE, this is the best insurance policy for the price ever.
