Purchased on 6/23/24 and I finally had the time to put it together and did a test run. Everything seems to be working well and not as noisy and I thought. Bad weather is expected to come my way tomorrow and we may loose power but hopefully not. If so, we will be ready.

I just received the generator purchased after suffering with no power from Hurricane Beryl. It arrived almost 5-days early! I cannot wait to try it out. I rated it with 4 stars instead of 5 only because I have not used it yet. However, it has lots of features and seems to be made of great quality of materials. It's very heavy duty! Very nice.

We bought several months ago and now have a great appreciation for it’s “ready to go-ready to work” construction. It is easy to start and with dual fuels has really been a life saver. It is quieter than our previous unit. We love ours and expect to get many years of use out of it!

I purchased an original generator in February through Home Depot. After getting the generator delivered it was found to have significant shipping damage. We contacted the GE Customer service line and was offered replacement parts or that they would work with Home Depot to replace the machine. This is the replacement which arrived in less than 3 weeks from the original purchase. This generator was delivered in very good condition. Assembly was easy and straight forward. At this time it runs well on a test and seems to be what we were looking for. Intended use is for backup power to our home since we experience frequent outages during rough weather.

This generator has saved my life plenty of times. If you are searching around for a dependable generator that is strong. I highly recommend this brand. One of my Electrician friends recommended it. It runs my whole house five stars. I have used it for two years now I am super happy. Most recently this Guy ran for five days straight

After thoroughly searching for a generator for some time. Settled on Westinghouse because of all the great reviews. Ordered online Tuesday and picked this Saturday. Easy assembly and set up right out the box. Started right up after 3 attempt with propane. I am feeling confident in the event of a power outage we will be fine. Will be using the 50Amp outlet direct feed to my service.

Just received my new generator, ordering, shipping & delivery was very easy- minor damage to the box but no big deal - generator was not damaged in any way. All the necessary parts were included in the box. ( no missing parts ) user manual is easy to read & detailed about generator operation. Only 4 stars for now / will update my review after generator has ran for awhile.

Unpacked the generator from the box, attached feet and wheels, put the included quart of oil in the crankcase, filled gas tank half full, plugged in the included battery, programmed the key fob, flipped the breakers on, turned gas shut-off to open, flipped on/off switch to on, pressed the start button... the generator started immediately!!! I pressed the on/off button and it shut right down. I pressed the start button on the key fob this time and again it started right up. I then pressed the stop button on the key fob and it shut right down again just like it should, I started the generator one more time with the start button on the generator and I let it run for 2 hours to seat the rings and then turned it of with the key fob and it shut right down again just as expected. Next morning I turned the start/stop switch to on and pressed the start button and again it started right up. I then turned off the gas shut off valve and let the generator run until it ran out of gas and stopped running... So far so good!!! Only complaint was that the generator arrived with a dent in the upper frame while causing no obvious damage to the gas tank or generator. More than likely it was damaged in shipping. Maybe a big deal to some folks but no other apparent damage and all parts appear solid and the generator functions perfectly. Good enough for me!

Dual fuel generators such as this one are the only way to go for home backup power. For intermittent and unpredictable needs, gasoline is a poor choice. Too often long intervals occur and gasoline (even non-ethanol) can gum up the carburetor. I prefer to have propane only for short operations. If I run short of propane, I will switch to gasoline to carry me over until I can refill my propane tanks. Once I refill the propane tanks I will drain out the gasoline and run the engine until it is dry. Only then will I switch back to propane. The danger of using ethanol should be more prominently noted in the manual. The manual schematic that came with the generator was for the wrong generator. I loaded a copy of the manual off the Internet which appears to the correct one. I will be wiring in a power transfer panel. My wife will require a checklist to do the transfer as the procedure will get involved. Example checklists would be helpful. She would be unable to start the generator manually; so, the electric starter can literally be a life saver. Some reports indicated the presence of obvious sloppy production assembly, but my unit displayed no such problems. It started up immediately on propane. THD is higher than I like for use with computers. As an engineer, it would appear to be a relatively simple task to provide an accessory to the generator to reduce THD.

This WGen9500 generator appears very well made. It started right up (after adding oil/fuel). I attached a 30 amp plug to my house transfer switch which powered the house right up. I simultaneously plugged a window unit AC and the garage freezer into the 120V GFCIs, with no problem. The electric start is great and the included battery saved me another expense. It's as loud as you would expect a large generator to be, but it's quieter than my old smaller model. I'm very pleased with it.
