On first use, it seems to be a really solid unit. I filled it up with gas and oil, moved the choke to cold start and pushed the start button....2 cranks later, yes it continues to run the start cycle until it starts, it fired right up. I ran it for 6hrs and not a hiccup. Will see how durable it is long term, no reason at first glance to doubt it, but a very nice generator for the money.

I bought this generator to replace a 30-year-old unit which I use for occasional power outages brought on by thunder/ice storms. Since I only need a generator occasionally, the unlimited storage time of LP gas makes this unit perfect as I already have multiple 20 # cylinders and a couple 100# cylinders for my gas logs. This generator appears very well built, compact, and with all the features you could want. The only thing that I would like to see would be a simple fuel drain for the gas tank as I always drain the tank after use as it could be more than a couple years before I need it again. A siphon will mostly work, but then still leaves a quarter inch gas in the tank.

We bought this after a recent outage of electricity, although it has been an ongoing discussion in our house since the previous outage, which lasted 10 days. We have not had to use it as of yet, but will totally be worth the expense when we have this issue again.

received the wgen 9500 from shipper. Box was in good shape. Unit was in good shape. Followed assembly and startup instructions and unit started on first crank from keyless fob. have run it 5 hours and changed the oil. i upgraded from a 7200 watt generator to this 9500 running watt gen for this hurricane season.

I bought this a few months ago for our 1000sqft home. After the freeze in Texas, we wanted to be prepared. Our electrician hooked us up with an interlock plate and plug. We tested it and it is amazing. I didn't try it, but I can probably run my AC unit if I wanted to with the other items! The dual fuel option is great as well! The generator was so simple to put together. W9500DF wow it comes with a portable plug to charge to battery if needed and located right on the panel. Bought this for future hurricanes to power the home items needed without hassle. Remote start super great.

After many months of research on portable generators I settled on the Westinghouse 9500DF. This is for whole house back-up used with a interlock kit. I have not yet used it in a power outage situation but in testing it provides a great amount of clean power. My main reason for choosing this unit was the controls layout. I also needed the extra wattage for a total electric house. Happy with purchase. It was delivered in great shape with no damage at all.

I bought this generator to be used to power the essential appliances in my house in case of a power outage. The only assembly is to attach the wheels and front stands and then add oil (supplied in box) and gas. The generator started first try. Seems very well built and easy to use. So far, I'm very happy with my purchase.

This generator is a solid piece of equipment. I have another well know brand that I have used in several storms, hurricanes, thunderstorms and the deep freeze in Texas. I needed one that would power the entire house, and this one does the trick. Much quieter than my other one too. Nice piece of equipment!
