Great value for the $$

Finally decided to purchase a portable generator to allow us to function during power outages. These have become more frequent here in Wisconsin, and the change in weather patterns promises more of the same. This product is very well constructed and with the proper maintenance, should last for years to come.

Great Generator So Far!

This has worked great ever since I finally got it running! The pull start was frustrating for me but perhaps that was operator error. After it started the first time I used the Start/Stop button which works flawlessly. Also the remote start is super convenient. After I use this for a couple of months I am sure I will update it to 5 stars (I just need to test it a bit more to be certain).

Awesome Generator

Bought before the winter storms come. Slight hiccup with the battery terminal but Weatinghouse has been great so far with Customer Service. Overall the machine is well built and feels very high quality. The assembly of the wheels was super simple and it comes with tools for basic maintenance. The tri-fuel option and electric/remote start were key selling points but the back-up manual crank cord is a great feature.

Great packing with outstanding instructions

Ordered on Sunday received on Tuesday. Just in time for hurricane Idalia on wed. I did all the prep work on Tuesday and ran it for an hour with no load. We lost power for 24 hours and this thing ran like a champ. 12 hours on a tank of gas. The manual was one of the best I have seen. It even comes with a parts breakdown manual. Just get one you won’t be disappointed. Next step is to set it up for whole house.

Top of the line

I just purchased the WGen9500DF and it is hands down the best! It has more features than you'll ever need. After simple assembly of the wheel kit and adding the encluded oil. I added gasoline, hooked up the propane tank and pushed the remote start button and it started right up. The noise level is very acceptable, comparable to a lawnmower. It is by far (even generators costing twice as much) a TOP OF THE LINE PRODUCT! Backed by a 3 year Warranty, what more could you possibly want.

Started Right Up

I put oil in this generator today, connected the battery terminals, hooked up the propane tank hose and started it up. I don't plan to use it with gasoline unless absolutely necessary. Propane will store long term without concern for breakdown and deterioration unlike gasoline. But I like having the option to run on either in the case of several days without power. I also like the power output potential of this generator. I can use it to run my AC Welding machine with small electrodes.

Overall great product

From reciept of shipment, to start-up, the 9500 is an easy product to set up an use. I chose propane for fuel. If a time comes that I use the generator full time, I may switch to gasoline, but I felt there would be fewer problems with long term storage if I used propane. Yes, you suffer a little power loss with propane, but the engine runs cleaner. No problems with gasoline going bad. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Very good

I recently purchased this unit after 2 generators from different manufacturers. I had to return the previous 2 due to quality issues. This one started immediately and runs great. The quality of the unit is evident with plenty of power and great features. Happy with my purchase.

Easy to assemble and very quiet

I bought this to replace my 28 year old generator and glad I got this one. Mainly because it is a "Tri" fuel unit. Love the electric start, plus a remote too. Only one issue, a regulator is need for the Natural Gas option. Finding the proper regulator is the big question!

Good features and output for the price

Pros: -electric start, remote start (not all that useful IMO, but it's there if you want it) -trickle charger for the battery -50A output, which is hard to find in this size/price range -dual fuel is handy, if you want natural gas you can always get an adapter kit online, loads of people do it that way -voltages are bang on, 240 and 120V both +/- 0.4V Cons: -heavy and loud, but that's the case with every generator. Not louder than any other genny this size, and quieter than some. -my unit came didn't want to run at first, the governor was revving it up and down wildly and the engine would choke after 30 seconds. Finally figured out it was a kinked fuel hose coming from the gas/propane selector module. Undid the hose clamp and rotated the hose so it stopped starving the carb of fuel, and everything worked great. But it would be nice if it actually worked out of the box, especially if the consumer can't diagnose problems like that. -nominally high THD (<23%), if you care. The overwhelming majority of modern electronics won't be affected by high THD, though I've heard computer uninterruptible power supplies sometimes refuse to recognize that they're plugged in when on generator power. All in all, definitely worth a buy.
