Purchased after the latest storm/power outage & fighting to keep our old generator running. Purchased this one due to the overall rating & reviews. Assembly was pretty easy, only attaching the wheels & feet to the unit, adding oil & fuel to start up. I used propane for the initial start up as we didn't need to use it and I didn't want to leave unused fuel in for an undetermined amount of time. Unit is as described in the ads and is well made, started and powered my electric device with no issues. We will enjoy piece of mind knowing it is there when we need it in the future.

The WestGen9500DF was very easy to assemble. It was also at our location a day prior. I have not fired it up yet however, it is made in the US of America and I'm excited of that and not supporting the China. The Gen looks great! I will write another review when I test run it. I'm at 80 years of age and have worked on machinery most of my life. I find this unit to be of good quality and build. At 220 pounds, the ball-bearing wheels are a must to move this into position, and the remote start future is an excellent add-in convenience. The ease of doing the required start-up includes oil, a small tool kit, a remote start, FOB, which must be paired per operator's manual, and the funnel is a snap, and I must mention that reading the well-written operator's manual is a must. I use propane only, but the 6.6-gallon metal fuel tank will work well if necessary. I did a remote start at over one hundred feet and was satisfied. Doing maintenance is well thought out when required. I believe you would be hard-pressed to find a better generator at this price point. I bought for Florida Hurricane upcoming season. Previous great reviews. Shipped prefect. Easy guide to set up. Purchased dual fuel option...planning to run on propane but, when gas is readily available will consider. Westinghouse is a trusted name always.

I received mine yesturday; set up and assembly was very easy.Started up on propane and everything checked out also setup key fob. I havent put any gas in because I don't when I will be using full time. But all the appliances ran well on propane. Ps-- Rolls quite easly Thanks Don

I purchased this generator to use for various functions, including backup power during power outages. The documentation was well written, and the instructions were clear. I had this generator up and running in just a few minutes.. the battery start works perfect. The noise level is relatively quiet for a generator this size compared to my last one and it provides more than enough power for any use. Overall. the combination of features, power, and ease of use make it a great generator for anyone. I am extremely happy with this generator.

I received my generator yesterday, it was very easy to unpack, very little to put together wheels and mounting feet. Right out of the box I hooked up to propane and pushed the remote and it started up. I purchased this one for all the features it has. Easy to understand. I'm going to enjoy this unit.

This generator has been the perfect all around solution for house backup and mobile projects. Build quality is fantastic, set up is a breeze, and ease of use and available functions is fantastic. Having duel fuel capability and both 30A and 50A outlets as well as 4 standard outlets provides versatility and allows me to run my well pump, AC if necessary, and power fridge/freezers, stove, etc in case of power outage. Really happy with this generator, especially at this price point.

I bought this generator with the intentions of powering everything in my house. During the last hurricane I wasn’t able to run my well pump because I had a smaller generator. Well, this generator will run the pump and the water heater at the same time as well as lights and refrigerator with wattage to spare.

We chose to purchase the Westinghouse WGen 9500DF mainly due to it having the remote push-button start and being a dual-fuel generator. After receiving the unit, we got it all set up and tested it out. It fired right up, just as we had anticipated. So far, we are pleased that it has passed this initial test. It is our hope that when we need it for an emergency it will continue to meet our expectations.
