Purchased them generator on Sep 12. Delivery was supposed to occur on the 15th. Finally delivered on 25 Sep. I understand deliveries sometimes don’t go well so I was willing to look past that. I openedThe box the next day and followed the setup steps exactly to the instructions. After adding oil and gas the generator wouldn’t start under battery power or pull rope. I began trouble shooting by checking spark plugs. There was spark so I then began tracing fuel supply. I had gasoline to the float bowl in the carb (yes the switch was on gasoline not propane). Tried starting again with no luck. I verified the oil level was within range and it was so I went to the manual and tried all listed troubleshooting ideas. I then tried the service line which must not be available on Saturdays. As a last ditch effort I removed the panel for the control board and began looking for electrical problems. After searching I discovered a disconnected wire (appeared to be bad quick connectors or bad crimp). The wire was the low oil sensor. After replacing the bad connector the generator started and ran smoothly. I decided to leave this review after several hours of troubleshooting my brand new generator that wouldn’t start. My intent is not to complain for no reason as I hope this situation will be corrected for other customers. The generator itself looks like a good product and I am pleased so far once I got it running; this is why I took the time to leave this review because it seems to be a good generator and I would like to recommend to others but it is hard to do so when forced to deal with the frustrations that I described above. I hope that you are able to correct for other customers. In honesty I would like to try some of your other products but I am hesitant to do so after this experience.

We ordered this generator the first week of September and received it (picked up at local Lowe’s) on September 25. I have just now unboxed it and filled out online registration. Other than to say it “looks okay” out of the box, I/we really cannot give a meaningful review at this time. I truly hope this Westinghouse generator is a better one than the Firman I purchased less than a year ago and is already “shot” (it used excessive oil from the very start)

I bought this because we have more ice storms and power interruptions every winter and we have less confidence in the power grid. This is very maneuverable with the wheels and handle. Has enough power to keep the house running for way less money for a permanent setup with basically the same watts. Plus it's portable so you can also use it at the cabin or hunting shack etc... it took about 2 minutes to put the wheels and feet on and add the oil. Hooked up a propane tank and it started right up. Not as loud as I expected either so that's a plus.

I bought this about three months ago and it already came in handy during a day long power outage. It powered my refrigerators and chest freezer along with my well pump and a few other outlets. The propane option is great since I don't have to worry about ethanol eating away at the fuel supply parts while the unit is idle. The remote start feature is nice to have also.

wish I had it for Hurricane Milton. I purchased based upon the reviews and Westinghouse reputation. when my electrician came to install the 50amp interlock, he said I couldn't have made a better choice. Unit started right up, took it through the break in cycle. I'm ready for the next power outage. very pleased, I especially like the covered outlets

My entire house was powered by this mighty engine using a manual transfer switch. We don't have natural gas at our house, but the LP gas and gasoline options are an easy purchase for us in case of a power outtage. Easy to set up and operate. It took less than 5 minutes from flipping the switch to receiving power. Even better, this unit comes with a remote control key fob to start and stop the generator without having to be right up on it. Really great purchase at a very reasonable price point.

I bought this generator about 3 weeks ago to complete my project of being able to power my house whenever there are power outtages. In Michigan, it seems to become more frequent. I owned a Subaru Robin 400 and it was a great machine, but it could not power the whole house, it was heavy as heck, and I had to use a power drill to start it (pull rope broke). I asked around and my buddy suggested getting a Honda, but Honda's are really expensive. The one I wanted to power my home was almost 4K! I looked at the The Predator 8500, and has high ratings, and a "knock off" version of the Honda. So, I researched generators and the Westinghouse kept popping up. I like the easy install, the dual fuel option, and electric start. This bad boy started on the second button push. The 9500DF can power my whole home and nowhere near as loud nor as heavy as my old school Subaru Robin (much respect). Great buy. I am very, very, pleased.l

I just purchased this. I put oil and gas in and it fired right up. It seems very well built and Westinghouse has been making generators for about 130 years. It has enough power to run pretty much everything in the house. I am very satisfied with it and it is pretty too.

I live in California in the foothills where PGE shuts off power during drought conditions and high winds. This generator is so easy to use has so much power and can run on gas or LP. I run my well pump which gives me water and I can flush the toilet which is better than having to flush with buckets of water. Remote start is awesome I can start it in any room of my house. The price rocks and the noise is not too bad.

So far, so good! This generator has everything I was looking for, I purchased it as a back up power supply for my home as I live in a hurricane prone state. So far I have done the 5 hr break in with no issues. Easy set up, easy directions, and easy start up. I will update after running a full home test in the next few weeks!
