Easy!

After delivery, my husband was thrilled that he was able to figure how to make this work! He thought the directions were concise and easy to understand. He is happy that the noise level of this generator seems to be quieter than both of our neighbors generators! He is both pleased and satisfied!

Great Generator!! Buy it!

Been looking at Generators for a while and had my eyes on Westinghouse dual fuel for a while. went on sale for triple fuel and had to snatch it up. Set up was cinch and fired right up....have only used propane and gasoline so far but works GREAT! buy one now! only knock is a bit louder than hoped but in line with other open frames.

Robust enough to power our 2,000 sq ft home

We recently moved to the foothills of the Sierras (Northern California). Power outages are common, so we bought a little 2,000 watt portable to keep devices charged. We are presently in the middle of an extended outage with no end in sight. My neighbor is an electrician and he told me he could wire this generator into our main so we can power the whole house with very little disruption. I had been under the impression that a whole-house generator would cost five figures. This was an absolute bargain. The only very minor quibble I have with the unit is that some of the threads for the nuts securing the feet are fouled either with paint or a manufacturing burr. I attached the feet using one bolt each but will ream them out later. For now, they're secure enough. That very minor defect is the only reason I did not give it five stars. Being able to run on propane as well as gas is a huge convenience. We will plumb it into our 450-gal propane tank but use gasoline for backup. The wireless fob to turn the generator on and off is a very nice touch. If we have future extended outages, it'll make life a lot easier.

Westinghouse Generator WGen9500DFc

I bought this generator because of the dual fuel, solid wheels, the overall ratings it was getting, the amount of wattage it produced, the number of outlets it had and the display window for hours used. I started it and went through the start up procedures without any problems. I am happy so far, but the real test when its ten years old.

Perfect for my needs

I purchased this generator to power our travel trailer here at home in the event of a power outage so we could use both A/C’s if needed, after doing some calculations I could also power our two refrigerators in the house at the same time. This makes for great peace of mind knowing we can live comfortably in the event of a power outage. When it was delivered the driver used a forklift to set the pallet with the generator on it in my garage for me, I’m 65 and I was afraid that it would be too heavy for me to work with to put the wheels on it. I was able to lift the wheel end and slide a piece of 4x4 under the frame with my foot and get the wheels put on with absolutely no problem at all, did the same thing on the other end to put on the support feet. Very pleased with my purchase.

Peace of mind finally

We have a smaller 4000 watt generator. But after going through a week a sub-freezing temperatures in south central Texas last winter, realized we needed something more capable to power the whole house in case of that or a hurricane. Now this generator may not run everything all at once, but it will definitely run everything we have and keep us comfortable. I also love the fact of having the ability to use either gasoline or propane. The only issue I had was one of the 10mm nuts where the rubber foot mounts to the bottom was incorrectly welded and had weld material in the threads. Ended up just replacing it with a regular 10mm nut and bolt from the hardware store. Aside from that, the initial setup instructions were very good and the generator started right up. Very pleased with our purchase

Quality Generator - Very Pleased

I was very pleased with the quality of the product. I bought it to provide partial backup power for my house during outages. We tested it and it worked very well. The only thing I'll ding it for is that I have to remove one of the wheels in order to plug in my 50 amp cable.

Can't go wrong with this generator

The unit arrived in a few days in good condition, and the delivery personal were very careful not to damage the generator. I like the dual fuel feature, remote start, battery charger port with included battery tender, easy assembly, rubber outlet protection covers, hour meter, and the bonus cover. The generator was a really good deal and has many features, thus I am very happy with this purchase!!!

Lots of Power - Can run entire all electric home.

Master Electrician recommeded this specific Generator, worked great. Our home is all electric in Tx where the electric grid is infamous. Dual fuel is ideal - 100 lb tank of propane and 5 gallons of gas should take care of us for a few days in survival mode. To Maximize efficiency of generator, I cut the load by Isolating recepticles for fridges on one dedicated circuit and Internet power & routers, TV etc. on another dedicated circuit. Now with breakers for things we don't need flipped of, and 5 of 22 breakers on, it never trips a breaker even with the electric heat pump running. Careful when choosing 240V cord to connect for Home back-up, 90° plugs are difficult to plug in because of relative location to wheel. If you can find a straight one, much easier to use.

Dual Fuel!!

Excellent so far! Easy set up, fired up for 45 mins on propane and ran quieter than i expected. Wired directly to my main panel to feed the whole house and had no problem powering large load items such as my hot water heater, range, and even my central AC blower (furnance). Very impressed so far.
