Perfect

This is the 2nd attempt for getting the "bonus cover" for leaving a review. I received an email from Westinghouse saying my 1st review went live. No idea where it went. This gen is perfect for what I needed. Started right up on propane, no gas yet. It ran my freezer, refrigerator/freezer and central air with no problem. Would buy again if needed.

Great Generator

I’ve been using the Westinghouse 9500DHc for a few months now, and it’s been an absolute game-changer during power outages. The dual fuel capability gives me flexibility between gas and propane, and the remote start is just awesome—no more fumbling around in the dark or cold to get things going. It has plenty of power to run everything I need at home, including the fridge, lights, Wi-Fi, and even the well pump. What really impressed me was how easy it was to set up—clear instructions, solid construction, and it fired up right away. It’s also surprisingly quiet for its size, especially when using propane. If you're looking for a dependable, high-output generator that’s still user-friendly, the 9500DHc checks all the boxes. Worth every penny for peace of mind and power on demand.

Nice, compact unit

Bought this after borrowing a tri-fuel generaton from a friend when my gasoline one quit working. This unit is double the power of my old one and only slightly larger. The wheel kit was easy to install and the handle is sturdy. Runs on propane and natural gas as well as gasoline. This will come in very handy when the next storm hits!

Everything you'll ever need

I bought this in November of 2021 and have used it to power my house as a backup generator. The electric start is a nice feature and it handles my entire house including well and heat without a problem. I highly recommend it. My brother has the same one for a few years now and he has never had a problem with his either.

Great Features!!!

I bought this to use when the electricity goes out in my household. A few days ago, my house went out of power for the whole day from a tree falling on the power line, luckily I had purchased this generator and I managed to turn my whole house's power back on. It was like there was no outage and my family was able to be very comfortable thanks to the generator. It's very useful and makes a person feel reassured that they can still get power during an outage. Amazing and useful poduct. No regret purchasing it!!

Nice versatility for the size

Purchased this generator and have only gone through the initial set-up and start process and everything is well illustrated. The electric start features is very nice! Only concern was that the supplied motor oil only filled up the oil pan to the minimum amount. I had to use additional 10W30 oil to get to the appropriate level

SATISFIED SO FAR, OPERATING AS CLAIMED

Purchased a couple months ago, Started on propane for break in. Started and ran smoothly. Plugged a few different electrical devices in and seems to be a keeper. It is a bit louder than expected but not advertised as quiet so it is what it is. When I added all the provided oil it was on the low end of the dip stick, wish I had 1 to 2 more ounces of oil included.

Let’s hope it performs as well as it looks

This is a review from just receiving my generator, I have not started it but will update my review as I use it. From unpacking it, everything looks great and it was very simple and fast to assemble. It only took 15 minutes from unpacking to wheeling it to the garage.

The perfect generater

I live in florida and iis almost a necessity that you have a generater, We looked and debated about several but this generated seemed to be the best deal for everything it has. We tested it out several weeks ago and it handled all the appliances and tv perfect. we feel alot better about loosing electric after a hurricane hits or even a bad storm.

Observations

Right out of the box, I put oil in it, a gallon of gasoline, and it started right up. The remote also was pre-programmed and works also. Several items I think are noteworthy but not necessarily a criticism. Oil filler is awkward to remove, whereas it is right in line with the battery cables. Secondly, it would have been useful to know exactly how much oil it took. It says in the manual, 1.1 (L). I do not believe that to be accurate. The tires are not going to perform well on wet grass. The manual states it should not be operated in the rain. Also, it says the generator should not be operated in an enclosure. Where do you think people are going to operate a generator in an emergency? I bought it for hurricane season, so I cannot leave it outside? Do I build a shelter for it? This is the one question I want an answer to. I think overall I am going to be pleased with it. I am having an electrician wire in a transfer panel and by my own estimations, it will power my whole house. BEFORE I need it, I will certainly plug it in and just see what the capabilities are. Thank you.
