I bought this generator to run a portable air conditioner, refrigerator and some lights in case the power goes out. This generator will do this and more! When I received the generator all I had to do was install the wheels and feet, then add oil and gasoline. Took 15 minutes tops. It started immediately and runs smooth. I tried the outlets and everything works fine. Remember there is a break in period so run it once in a while and don't wait for a power outage for the first time use. Comes with a full manual and quick start up guide. Easy to assemble and easy to use. Should have bought this a long time ago!

Although I don’t have anything to compare to and looking at numerous others I decided on the WGen9500DF. Right out of the box (adding the oil) a few pulls and it started right up. I used gas the 1st start but will likely be using propane moving forward because it burns cleaner. Although the generator is loud I actually thought based on what I’ve been told it would be louder. (Another plus) I recently had a 50 amp transfer switch installed and after starting plugged in the generator I was able to power the pool, fridge, freezer, router, various lights, etc. I switched those off and turned on heat and then pool (along with fridge and freezer) and there didn’t seem to be any hesitation. My wife and my minds are at ease heading into the crazy Texas winters which are very unpredictable.

This is the best quality generator for the price I have found. The dual fuel option is a must as L.P. gas has an indefinite shelf life to store as compared to gasoline and in a power emergency gas pumps are down. There aren't too many generators with a duel fuel option available. The engine is too quality and dependable and is made in the USA.

We purchased the Westinghouse Dual Fuel 9500 generator in late June, 2020. We were able to set it up and use it this past week during Tropical Storm Isaias. It was easy to set up and easy to use. We were able to run everything we needed. We love the option of running both off of gasoline and propane as many gas stations were without power also. Well worth it!

The Westinghouse Generator Model WGen9500DF is a great purchase. It has all the bells and whistles needed to power your entire house during an emergency. The design, accessibility of all connections and ease of use are very good. I like the most the Dual Fuel feature which allows to use either LPG or Gasoline and it last a long time to get your through power outage and run the necessary appliances to maintain comfort. Very happy with this equipment!

I selected this portable generator for its great features. It was easy to set up and break in. The 50 AMP receptacle gives me plenty of backup power for my home and charging an EV. The 6.6 gallon tank provides plenty of operating time and the quick switch to the propane tank keeps it going without interruption. With all of its options it is a great addition to my home security.

I did research on line for several OEM portable generators and decided to buy this Westinghouse portable generator mainly because Westinghouse is an old established company with a good reputation. I am very pleased with my purchase so far and look forward to many years of reliable operation

Just purchased the WGen9500. So far excellent. I set up the system to my home. Started the generator and it's doing everything as required. I reviewed several other generators and Westinghouse offered more features and the cost was less than others. Looking forward to losing electric so I can use my generator.

We bought this product last month. Generator arrived in pristine condition. Setup was a breeze. Instructions were broken down well and illustrated even better. Key FOB was pre paired which is great. Generator started right up and ran beautifully for the break in period. Also coming with a battery tender was a nice surprise to us. Have had 0 issues unlike another brand we had previously used that would vibrate off any and all bolts.

This generator has a lot of great features and is surprisingly compact and easy to maneuver. It started right up and was ready to power items via the three-pronged outlets. We have hired an electrician to wire it into our house for home backup and cannot wait to see how it performs. Be sure to have extra oil ready when it gets delivered- the oil provided with the unit is nowhere near enough to fill the generator.
