I researched a lot of generators prior to purchasing this one. I decided it was the one for me based on the specifications and outstanding and plentiful online reviews. Everything you need to get it up and running is in the box. I put ethanol-free gas in it and it fired right up. Very happy with all its features for the money!

We have used this for hurricanes and also for random outages. It is very easy to use, its our first one and I could run it right out of the box. I have recommended this to several other friends that had not yet made the jump into a portable generator. I love that it uses both gas and propane, sometimes during an event its hard to stock up on gas, however I can store propane and keep my machine running.

I got this one week ago. It was fairly easy to install the wheels. There's a whole lot of controls, but the instructions are pretty good. This unit includes 1.1 liters of 4-stroke oil & a special funnel which I appreciate, but the container will only fill up the crankcase to the bare minimum, so I had to buy another bottle to get enough inside to make me comfortable. That's not a big deal. I really like the remote. It starts up easily with propane. I only wish I could have obtained the WGen12000DF, which I looked for for a year & got on waiting lists even. But... I added up all the wattage of what my home needs & this generator will easily handle it all.

Lets start with the good stuff. The actual product is fantastic once you get it started. The push button and remote starting is wonderful. I would definitely recommend this generator to my friends and family. They would have gotten a 5 from me on the hardware if it could stand alone. However I believe the instructions are lacking 1 simple clear instruction. That is on page 14 of the manual Connecting the Battery. there in 1 sentence are the complete instructions. When you look at the unit you see black wires with a black tie around them. They look like 1 unit that shouldn't be cut apart. They should split that 1 sentence into 2 steps. 1) Cut the tie holding the battery connections, 2) Connect the 2 ends together. It would also be nice to show a picture of each operation. If you can not do that easily then at less make the tie Yellow or Red so it does not look like it is part of the wires. Customer Support is great when you finally get through to them. It took me days of calling in for long waits only to be hung up on. I was almost ready to send it back to the store.

Very happy with this generator. I searched for a long time before deciding on this one but and very glad i purchased this one. Its duel fuel, came with everything we needed. Very well built. . Also electric start since i am an older lady. It has very easy to follow instructions and cranked right up out of the box. Gives me a little more peace knowing i can at least save my food and have some heat if we have power outages now.

This 68 year old woman was able to do the minimal assembly required of this well packaged machine; add the included oil; hook up an LP tank with the enclosed hose (with regulator) and start it up...all by myself. (That's not to say I wasn't somewhat apprehensive.) The remote was already paired with the machine and the generator started on the 2nd automatic attempt. This was a positive experience for self-confidence! Now that I have it, the neighbors can thank me if we never lose power again!

This purchase was quite reasonable for all what we got. We had an electrician put an outlet for a 50 amp hookup that was connected to our 200 amp breaker box. We ran the generator for 5 hours to break it in. Then we attached the 50 amp extension cord to the outlet box, turned off the main breaker and switched on the generator breaker. We turned on the TV, checked the refers and freezer and many other electronic devices and they all worked as if it was the actual electrical feed from the city input. We are very happy with our purchase. We would recommend this model to anyone who has a lot of electronic devices to run.

After doing a great deal of research, I decided on this generator, and I'm so glad I did. It is solid! The battery was fully charged when it arrived. It also comes with a trickle charger that plugs right into the control panel so you can have peace of mind that when the time comes to crank it up, it will be ready. It comes with a full quart of oil with funnel, and many other amenities. The wheels and legs were very easy to install and are very durable. I especially like how the handle folds down into the frame to make it easier to store in the least amount of space. I'll update my review once I get the transfer switch and electrical work completed. The main use of this unit will be for emergency power in the case of an electrical outage. If you're looking for a solid generator at a reasonable price, look no further.

Just purchased this generator. Tried out yesterday plugging into a whole house 50 amp plug. Gen does a phenomenal job of powering everything in the home without dragging down the gen. ie. all lights, outlets, ceiling fans, microwave, 2 refrigerators, & well pump were powered with no lose in running power from the gen. Highly recommend this unit. I was up and running in minutes upon unboxing. Assembling the unit was very simple. Really only needed to put feet & wheels on, fill the oil up with included exact quantity of oil needed and fill with gas and you're up and running. Nice work Westinghouse. I considered other brands but VERY happy I settled with the Westinghouse. Purchase this one; you won't regret it !!!

This is a pre-review, FYI. Just opened the box and found a loose bolt laying in the bottom of the box. Now I need to look around to see where it might have come from. Also had to provide my own washers when mounting the wheels as those provided did not fit over the wheel stud because the washer ID was too small. Obviously the wrong washers. Other than the shipping box looked like it had gone through a tornado, the unit was fine, no dents or scratches. Will provide and updated review once I run the unit in.
