out with old in with new!

old 23 year old generator died New Year day during power outage. Did research and bought this Westinghouse from reviews and wow, have generators come a long way with features! Easy set up and great features.Along with the pull start there is push button and remote electric start. Duel fuel adds to the features also. Solid built and runs smooth . Bring on the power outages!!

Great for the rolling blackouts

I bought this as an emergency back up for the rolling black/brownouts suggested to be repeated this summer and beyond. I was afraid of the weigh but I find it very maneuverable for a 74 year old. It’s easy to start and easy to keep fueled (I prefer the propane option). The WGen 9500 will easily handle my refrigeration, pool and HVAC needs during an emergency. I hope I never need to use it, but I am glad to have it

Easy setup and use!

I purchased the WGEN9500DF last month in preparation for hurricane season in Florida after doing a lot of research. This is a versatile generator with lots of features and power to handle just about any situation whether it's a power outage, RV camping, or as a whole house generator if you install a transfer switch. Setup was easy although the unit is pretty heavy without the wheels and feet installed so be careful. Once those are on moving it is easy. My unit took the entire bottle of oil initially that came with it just FYI so you might want to purchase some extra 10w30. The battery was already connected to the terminals but there are 2 connectors in between the unit and the battery that need to be connected. The instructions only talk about hooking up the terminal connectors but that's already done. I've only used the propane so far just to make sure it worked and wouldn't leave gas inside while storing. It fired up like a champ on the first try with the push button start. After shutting it down, I plugged the battery in to charge so we're good to go for hurricane season. Hopefully we won't need to use it... :)

Great generator

Shopping for a large portable, this had all the features for the greatest price. Having a propane tank on site is great, but sometimes it is nice to just run off gas when you are note near the tank. Unit came quick and assembly was a breeze. Even for just shy of 200lbs the integrated wheels and handle makes it not too difficult to move. The multiple starting options are great; Pull start, push start, and remote start. Unit fired right up without issue and continue to run.

Perfect for my home

Bought this generator for my whole home back up. Only used for test but it worked exactly how I needed it to. My only complaint is the mount for the one wheel was broke upon receiving so the one-wheel leans, too much of a hassle to return. Thats why I have to give it a 4 star.

Awesome Gen

I bought this generator to either keep the Texas heat at bay during the summer or the Texas cold out during power outages. I am currently running on propane while getting natural gas hook up made. It runs great and has plenty of power for my 41/2 ton unit. Remote start is awesome by the way.

The WGen9500TFc is a solid choice

I just received my WGen9500DFc, and the unboxing and assembly were straightforward. I tested it with both propane and natural gas, and it ran smoothly on both. It has more than enough power to handle everything I need. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase—it’s the perfect generator for the price I was looking for.

Excellent Choice

It was a wonderful decision in choosing to purchase this generator. The features are useful, plenty and convenient. I am able to power almost all the devices and areas that are needed. It is not very noisy and consumes fuel moderately. I am very satisfied with the purchase and will definitely recommend it.

Just what I was looking for home energy.

My research pointed me to purchase this generator to meet my need if we had an extended power outage. I will not be able to run my whole home but will be able to get by until the power is returned. I will be able to heat/cool and run some lights.

Nice

Purchase less then a week ago set up was simple good instructions, The only issue I had when I added the oil that came with the generator with the dip stick Screwed all the way into the motor The measurement was just at the Low oil mark . I expected the oil level to be somewhere between the high and the low marks on the dip stick
