I been searching for a Generator here in Texas since our Power Outage last Winter. Was very excited to finally decide on this Westinghouse 9500DF.. I just received it today, took 10 Minutes top open it and put a couple of parts on it and it started right up.. Love the electric start!

After being out of power for 4 days decided to buy this generator to power my appliances after the first break-in period changed the oil and was ablet to run the generator on and off for the next 4 days with no issues whatsoever, decided to purchase a second one for my buisness

Generator was delivered within about a week. Unpacked according to instructions and assembled. Oil was coated on the wheel, frame and the generator, cleaned it all off. Added oil and gas. The generator started right up without issues. Plugged in several devices, everything worked great. Rating Good until generator is used as a necessity

I found it very easy to get the generator put together and going. The directions were very easy to follow. The features are outstanding. It has remote start, duel fuel with transfer from one to the other on the fly, a gauge that tells you all you need to know, and everything that was promised.

Bought this for emergency whole home back up and first impression was great with small size but everything accessible. Also reading reviews I noticed people complaining of noise level but it was actually quieter than expected when running on patio. It’s no louder than a snow blower!

Just received generator, excellent owners manual, followed simple clear instructions pre-startup, started on first push of start button. Remote was pre- paired as instructions said it should be as I used it to shut down on first run. Ran several products to check power output, everything works perfectly! Very happy I chose this brand and model.

Purchased the Wgen9500 generator to power the house during hurricanes. Build quality is top notch!! Features are awesome, the remote start and push button start are a really nice feature. Set up was a breeze took me about 15 mins from removing the box to start up. Fired right up using the remote on the first try. I’m currently running it to break it in and it’s powering the garage fridge and a shop vac! I’m eventually having this wired to a transfer switch to power the house, one ac unit, well pump, fridge, lights and outlets. Negatives, it’s 200lbs, but it moves around easily on level surfaces. I wouldn’t want to haul it around much! The noise level is about what you would expect from a genny this size but inside the house it’s barely noticed. Highly recommend this one!

I bought this unit a little over a month ago now. I installed a 50Amp Outlet on the exterior of my home and a 50 Amp breaker with a mechanical interlock with the main breaker. This has proven to be a really good solution at a substantially lower cost than a standby unit. Yes, I have to flip a couple breakers and roll the unit out my garage and plug it in but that about it. As infrequent power losses are, this is more than adequate for me. The remote start is awesome. I use it to start the unit after it plugged in and I have flipped the breakers in my breaker panel. It’s nice that you can shut the unit down to conserve fuel at night or when you leave and start and stop it suing the remote. Really a great idea. The solid tires are a really good move as well. I have used units with air filled tires before and they leak and it makes it very very difficult to move them. The one thing I would like to be different is the location of the 50A outlet on the unit would be for that outlet to be in a different spot, swapped with one of the other outlets. The issue is, the 50A outlet is located on the far right directly above the highest point of the wheel. This creates an obstruction to the natural position of the heavy 50A cable needed to connect to this outlet on the generator. (See attached photo) All of the other outlets require a much lighter duty cable, due to their lower power levels, therefore it would be much better to have one of those (perhaps the 120 vac outlets) above the wheel. It was quite difficult to manipulate the cable to use this outlet with a bottom exit cable which is the most common and safest solution in the event of rain, etc. I gave the unit a 4 Star rating specifically because of this design shortfall. If a 4.5 options was available, I would have selected it. If it wasn’t for this, I would have given a 5 star without a doubt.

Style: 12500W Dual Fuel Works as expected. Excellent generator for the price. Very easy to move around with the built in handle. I live in Florida where we are subject to some pretty intense weather. It’s very reassuring to know that I can run my house with this generator. A little bit of money for a great feeling of protection if power does go out.

I bought this generator after the Texas ice storm in 2021 but left it in the box for over a year. I unpacked it, put the wheels on (very easy) and cranked it up. This generator is a beast! It is the same size as my 2,500 watt generator but is almost 4 times more powerful. It can run anything in my house, including my A/C and heat pump. I will highly recommend this generator to all my friends!
