I just bought this unit and I am very impressed. It converts easily to a floating neutral, which is what I needed. It is also 50 AMP capable, also required for my needs. I also like that I can use propane, and easily switch to gasoline in a pinch. The remote start-up is also a really nice feature. The manuals are well written and the quick-start and maintenance sheets are outstanding. There is also info on the different oils and spark plugs that can be used!

I just purchased this generator for our home and I have to say this thing is great when it comes to quality. Just a small assembly of the wheels and front feet adding oil and gas it is ready to go. Started right up and the thing that really amazed me was that it wasn't nearly as loud as I expected. I have it wired to my house using an interlock kit instead of a transfer switch. This way I can get full use of the generator without having to select certain circuits. Not looking forward to any power outages but I'll be ready when they happen. Highly recommend this generator for all off grid power needs.

The unit came sooner than expected! The box when it arrived had minor damage, however, after opening and inspecting the unit, the unit looked ok with the exception of the owner's manual being damage and the cap on the propane gas inlet was damaged/broken. Fortunately the threads on the inlet look intact. The owner's manual under "getting started" said to hook up the battery, but the battery was already hooked up. I tried to start the unit after putting oil in and the unit appeared to be dead with no electrical power. After looking at the unit to diagnose the problem, I found there was a plug-in on the wire coming from the battery which was not plugged in, but was wire tied up under the instrument panel. I plugged that in and the generator started good. The remote also worked good. I have a transfer switch on order, so I have not had a chance to put it to a good test. I'm a pretty meticulous person, and the broken spined book is annoying. I'd like to see Westinghouse replace my propane gas inlet cap and book. I would gladly change my review to a 5 star rating!

Bought this a few weeks ago and it delivers on everything promised. Super easy set up instructions and warranty information, as well as a required maintenance reference card. I've only ran it for a little while, preparing for hurricane season, but so far I am not disappointed whatsoever. Great purchase for the price!

The generator is solid. Only wheels and rubber feet have to be installed. Clip zip tie off and connect battery leads together. Add oil and gas. Program the remote key FOB. It's that easy. Came with a battery trickle charger which is great and I don't have to tie up my larger unit. It is a very heavy unit but the wheels and foldable handle make it easy to move around.

I got this generator about 3 weeks ago & was planning on test driving it this weekend. The power company gave me an excuse this morning with my power going out. I plugged this into my transfer switch, flipped to generator, started it up & my home was fully powered. So worked as I'd hoped it would. A little bonus I either missed in the description or it wasn't there is, it also came with a remote start fob! It started 1st time & ran till my power came back on 7 hrs. later. So big thumbs up!!

One week after the generator arrived we had a huge storm and were left without power for 3 days. This generator did the job!!! Ran the furnace(heat), the well, and everything else we tried. I ran it using a propane tank. I am looking forward to being able to connect it to our natural gas line soon. Now I'm ready to sell my old gas only generator.

We invested in the WGen9500 because we live in a little log cabin in the big woods at the actual end of the power line. After coping with regular outages and dealing with the disadvantages of lesser generators, the 9500 is stout enough to power our whole house. All my long life I've appreciated the quality behind the Westinghouse brand from heavy WWII surplus to the solid products on which we now depend for comfort, convenience, and safety. Cheers!

We moved out to the sticks 2 years ago and we lost power randomly at least once per month. With a new one on the way, we knew we needed reassurance that we would have power in case of emergency, and this generator didn’t disappoint. Very happy with purchase.

So happy I purchased this generator. I has plenty of power and the ability to switch fuels on the fly. This is perfect for our situation in California when we have power outages. The machine gives plenty of power and simple to use. Started right up the first time.
