Great machine

This is a workhorse. The only think lacking was the instructions in the box was from an older model. I had to call support because what it was saying was not matching up with what I saw I front of me. Now in the description online it said the noise produced was like a loud dishwasher. I think it would be more accurate to say, a few loud industrial dishwashers put together. Hahaaa. But this is all small stuff

Best features and AMERICAN made

I was looking for a replacement generator that could handle entire load of our house. This is to be placed in a small outdoor storage shed, so we didn't want one with a CO detector. This not only fit our needs but Exceeded our expectations on options. The price was competitive to others, But unlike others it's an AMERICAN product. with a 13.5 HP engine it's quieter than the 8 HP we had. It arrived very nicely boxed, and the user manual is nicely organized. If this is your first or fifth generator, you're thinking about buying, I would HIGHLY recommend a Westinghouse. I will be purchasing a dual fuel from Westinghouse soon can never be too prepared.

Excellent Generator

Purchased to use with RV. It meets all of the qualifications that I needed it to meet. The remote start function is a necessity since I don't want to have to go out in the rain or cold to start it. The 50 amp connection is great since my RV requires 50 amp service connection.

Love the features.

This generator is big enough to power my entire house. Love the remote start feature along with the push button start. Installed wheels, added oil and gas, pushed remote start and it started right up. No longer need to pull a cord to start. So much easier.

Ready to go

We had our elecrical panel upgraded so we could have this specific generator. The dual fuel feature allows us to run what we have on hand. It has proven to be extremely fuel efficient. A unique feature is the remote fob. Now I know my wife can start it if I am not there.

More than I expected

My first impressions of this generator were better than I would have thought. I thought the build would have been cheaper looking in person, and a general low quality, but to my surprise this gen is more like the premium ones you can buy for 3 times this cost! Another thing that blows me away is the sound level. Construction style generators like this are generally loud and obnoxious, I’ve own 3 10+ horsepower generators that have been too loud and embarrassing to use next to your neighbor. They must be doing mufflers different now because the Westinghouse 9500 is not necessarily quiet, but definitely do-able for the neighbors. I can speak just over normal volume and have a casual conversation next to it while it’s running. I love it! So glad I bought it!

Seems Great

I've only had this generator a week but it seems like an excellent purchase. It is built really well and works equally well. Starts right up and the features are second to none. It is loud but what do you expect. I'm very happy with my WGen 9500 Westinghouse generator.

Dual Fuel - The way to go

I have had this unit about 2 weeks and have only run it for a short time to test it out. What brought me to this unit is the dual fuel capability. Since we have very reliable power supplied by the power company, this unit will get infrequent use. Running on propane eliminates the issues with gasoline going bad and the whole issue with ethanol fuel. Additionally, we have this unit at our seasonal cottage. Running on propane will make winterizing a lot simpler.

Just unboxed

Simple to setup. As advertised features and accessories provided. First gas fill drips/splash (nearly inevitable without out-of-norm measures) left visible markings in the flat black painted gas tank even when cleaned immediately. I realize it’s a tool, but a bit disappointing when it hadn’t even been started yet. Will know more of capability after first use, and reliability after some long run hours with multiple events.

Great Generator for Real

I bought this generator about 3 weeks ago to complete my project of being able to power my house whenever there are power outtages. In Michigan, it seems to become more frequent. I owned a Subaru Robin 400 and it was a great machine, but it could not power the whole house, it was heavy as heck, and I had to use a power drill to start it (pull rope broke). I asked around and my buddy suggested getting a Honda, but Honda's are really expensive. The one I wanted to power my home was almost 4K! I looked at the The Predator 8500, and has high ratings, and a "knock off" version of the Honda. So, I researched generators and the Westinghouse kept popping up. I like the easy install, the dual fuel option, and electric start. This bad boy started on the second button push. The 9500DF can power my whole home and nowhere near as loud nor as heavy as my old school Subaru Robin (much respect). Great buy. I am very, very, pleased.l
