I purchased this generator as a whole house unit, we live in a rural area on an "end" of the line utility service...so if the area loses power, we are the last to get it back. I wanted a unit that offered the flexibility of running on LPG for our home, yet a quick disconnect & I can take the unit mobile & operate it on gasoline. The handle & wheels make this unit very easy to move & place where needed.

I bought the WGen9500 Model just over a month ago. What a great buy!!! The unit was easy to setup, and has lots of great features including a remote start. Just installed the wheels, added the oil which was also included, poured in some gas, and it started right up on the first try!!! With the power this unit can provide, we will be able to run all essentials in our house during any future power outages. Very happy with this purchase!!!

Assembly was pretty easy. Oil provided was not enough to come up to proper level. Added & got to proper level. Not totally sure about bounded Nuetral but disconnected because I am using cord (14-30R), per instructions. Initial start hesitated due to battery not being fully charged. Once plugged charger in, started right up. Let it warm up then plugged in garage air compressor to put under load on each plug. Sounds quieter than expected and believe this is a good quality purchase.

This is my second Westinghouse portable generator. I purchased a WGen7500DF over four years ago for my home in West Virginia. It has had limited use but has always performed well when needed. Since I as a limited snow bird I decided to purchase and additional WGen9500DF for my home in Florida. I have already done a test run and it will power my home in Florida with no problem. The new WGen9500DF started the first try on gasoline. Westinghouse is way ahead of the competition, an excellent generator.

Generator was delivered in 2 days, packaging was very good. Was easy to put together and started right up. I tested with gas and propane, switching on the fly and unit worked flawless. I like the all the outlet options on this unit and will use the 50a to tie into my breaker box. This unit is well built and I have high expectations for great service from this generator. Three year warranty is a nice bonus.

I bought this generator shortly after losing power due to Huricane Milton knocking out my power for 2 days. I had breakers set up in my service box so that I can run 50AMPs to my panel when the power is out. There was minimal setup with this. Just a couple wheels, add oil and plug in the battery. The folding handle makes it easy to move around, so the weight of the generator is not an issue. I took it for a test drive. Used the remote FOB. Worked like a charm. Tried th push button start on the generator,,, also worked great. No futzing around with a choke or gasoline. I really like that I can use Propane for this and not have to worry about old gasoline left in the generator. I purchased a few 20LB tanks this will give me more than a 24 hour period of "clean running". There will be enough power here to run my AC Central Air, refridgerator and some lights! I hate to wish for a storm, but I am secretly hoping for a power outage so that I can use it.

I had my eye on this generator model a long time. I gotta tell ya, yup, I am so glad I finally got my hands on this particular model. So many reasons why I choose this model. There are three ways to start this generator including Remote Start (Love-It). It's a Dual Fuel machine (Love-It). It has enough Watts to power your entire house (Really Love-It). You can use it everyday for powering your construction tools. Westinghouse included everything needed except the fuel to get this genarator running and it was so-so simple to get it running. I took my time and read the entire manual before doing anything else. It's heavy but the handle and wheels make it easy to pull or push. You get the connector for the propane tank. The gas tank is metal and most other important parts are too. It has safety features like shut-off for gas and a switch that allows you to select the fuel you will use. Also a disconnect for the battery and a on/off switch and a battery charger. To me its not too loud considering how I will use it. My purpose for buying this generator is for small projects and emergency use such as a power outage. I truly feel I can keep this generator a long time running. I personally like the colors Westinghouse choose. Although the shipping box had a hole in it, it arrive undamaged. This generator is a good choice for someone who wants a home standby generator that will power the entire home if plugged into a transfer switch at a much lower price then others on the market. The remote can turn on and off the generator and it produces clean power at a consistent and non fluctuating 120 V. This generator has many features that you would only get in a permanent standby generator.

Got this to use for more comfort during hurricane power outages. Having the ability to switch between gas and propane was important to me, it allows me to run for more days if places are closed up after a storm. Have the 50amp outlet so I can run off the fuse box, so much easier. The manual was comprehensive and easy to understand. I now have peace of mind that when hurricane season arrives, I’ll be prepared.

I have already had two power outages this summer and anticipate many more this winter. The generator easily powered my two refriderators, freezer, AC and lights. It is quiet and I was easily able to switch between gasoline and propane. Now I can relax when the weather threatens.
