I ordered this during the last ice storm in North Carolina. The one I was using had issues during that storm. I have this one set up and ready for the next storm. The only negative I found was the instructions did not instruct me to hook the wires from the hot battery cable. I called the help line and after directions from the help line, proceeded with no additional issues. It started right away with the manual start.

Extremely pleased with the purchase of this Generator. The quality and packaging is outstanding. I had the unit assembled and running on propane in 20 minutes. The electric start and dual fuel capabilities are two of the features that drew me to the purchase. I plan on using the generator for back-up power supply and will be installing a 10 circuit transfer switch to run part of our home during power outages.

Purchased to replace a 5500kw generator. the power allows me to run my water heater along with other appliances. Set up took about 20 minutes. What I like about this purchase. Easy setup, very clear directions and maintenance instructions, multiple warning placards to warn you to make sure a step is completed, a small tool set, oil included, well packaged, dual fuel capability. Easy to maneuver once wheels are on. Unit was smaller than I expected, the fold down handle is very comfortable.

I got this generator around April 2020, and love it. We got it to use for the normal summer power outage we usualy have during the heavy thunderstorms we get. Haven't had to hook it to the house yet, but we have used it camping and it works great. This generator has powered everything we've hooked to it without any problems. After assembly, filling with the included bottle of oil, and gas (not included of course), I used the recoil starter (pull cord) first to see how many pulls it would take to get started. To my surprise this thing fired up on the first pull. I didn't think the gas had enough time to fill the carb when it fired! The electric start worked just as good. The remote was easy to program and works well. I only have two, very minor, inconveniences to mention to ensure this is an complete and accurate review. Neither of which would prevent me from purchasing this generator, or any other Westinghouse product, in the future. The first is the oil capacity. 1.1 L/1.16 qt. This capacity leaves you with almost, but not quite, a quart of oil floating around until you need to change the oil again. I wouldn't be against buying a 1.1 L bottle of oil from Westinghouse if it was available. I might even pay a little extra for the added convenience of not having an open oil bottle to keep track of for a couple of months - just a thought. The other is that the open end wrench in the tool kit (I was surprised that it had a tool kit, so this is definitely NOT a complaint) doesn't fit the oil drain plug on the engine. Neither of these would prevent me from buying this generator over again, or any other product from Westinghouse in the future. Overall, I LOVE this generator!!!

I purchased a 950 k DF with out CO2 ,, sensor warning, What a well built unit for sure, After a few minor kinks I spoke to Westinghouse and within 2 days I had the replacement parts needed to make things right. Thus far I have tested this unit on both LP and gas, it's nice to be able to switch on the fly . I did note when you add the oil 1 Qt provided, when you check the oil level it's still a little low so I just add a little more until it showed in the safe zone, I also noticed in colder weather ( teens) it is difficult to start , however it will start up on LP just fine and you can switch right back to fuel if you wish. I will investigate further, The very good point about dealing with Westinghouse support thay indeed work to make things right. Myself I would not hesitate to purchase further with a Westinghouse product..Lastly if you receive a unit that has a default issue a lot of times damage is done during shipping.. I bought the generator about a month ago after a major storm which caused a week long power outage. Haven't had to use it for an emergency yet, but the generator is well built and has great features. Glad I made this purchase. I have great peace of mind now feeling much more prepared for future emergencies.

We lost power for a week after Helene came through. I borrowed a generator from my parents and think they bought it sometime in the 1800’s. It ran ok, but didn’t have a lot of power; just enough for the fridge and freezer and that’s about it. It was coughing and sputtering like it wanted to send us back into the stone ages. After a LOT of research, over 25k reviews with a 4.9 out of 5 rating helped me choose this dual fuel generator and a transfer switch. The quality is great and I like the features. The push button start and remote will make it easier for my wife to use this as she had a little difficulty starting the one we borrowed. Now we will be ready for the next time the power goes out, and my family will be safe.

I opened the box, assembled the generator in 15 minutes and was on my way. I really like the dual fuel feature. I don’t plan to use gas in it, but it’s there if we need it. It started right up and powered our whole home (well, furnace, microwave, etc) without breaking a sweat.

Bought this generator for my whole home back up. Only used for test but it worked exactly how I needed it to. My only complaint is the mount for the one wheel was broke upon receiving so the one-wheel leans, too much of a hassle to return. Thats why I have to give it a 4 star.

Just purchased this generator. Set was easy . Needed two people to install wheels . It started right up. I let you know after the first hurricane hits. I’ll compare it to my 20 year old Honda which still runs. It’s all in the up keep of your equipment. Love the electric start.
