Arrived well packaged and was clean and in show room condition when unpackaged. The instruction was complete and easy to follow, and the best feature is the start feature which is automatic, once you hit the start button the controller takes over and starts the generator without running the starter for excessive periods of time.

Aside from having to put on the wheels, adding oil and hooking up the battery, the generator was ready for use. Started up on the first try, powered a clock that I was using to test it and I have run it now for about an hour with no problem. A great product.

Just purchased this generator. Tried out yesterday plugging into a whole house 50 amp plug. Gen does a phenomenal job of powering everything in the home without dragging down the gen. ie. all lights, outlets, ceiling fans, microwave, 2 refrigerators, & well pump were powered with no lose in running power from the gen. Highly recommend this unit. I was up and running in minutes upon unboxing. Assembling the unit was very simple. Really only needed to put feet & wheels on, fill the oil up with included exact quantity of oil needed and fill with gas and you're up and running. Nice work Westinghouse. I considered other brands but VERY happy I settled with the Westinghouse. Purchase this one; you won't regret it !!!

Too early to fully review, will come back once I use. Only disappointment so far is the amount of scuffing on the painted parts. Obviously rubbed too much during shipping. Even looks like a poor factory touch up of frame. It's matte black, but touch up was glossy.

This may get 5 stars, but I haven’t had to use it for my house backup yet. I like the fact that I could connect it to LP so that I can store it without having to put gasoline in it yet. I love the remote & electric start. This generator will cover all my needs for my home. I live in S. Fl. so my primary use is for my home backup during hurricane season. Even when we don’t get a direct hit, we usually lose power because the wind and trees around all the power lines serving our community. I have watched many videos and read many reviews before settling on this generator. It seems to be a solid unit.

I just recieved our new WGEN9500DFc. I did everything according to the instructs for set up. I put gas in and tried to crank it. Motor turned over but would not crank. I connected propane and it cranked right up. I had my 30yr handy man with me. We checked all procedures. Unit seemed fine on propane. NOTHING on gas. I called the customer service number. They said it could take a while for a tech response. Like how long? 21 DAYS , WHAT ???!!!! I think I like the unit, but I got dual fuel because that's what I wanted. I expect it to work and not have to wait 21 DAYS!!! I hope they call me soon. I will rate it at another time.

I had only tested it so far. I shut main breaker off plugged generator in and had turned off all the breakers. I let it warm up, about 5min. Started to turn on breakers one at a time and all the lights came on my furnace kicked on and my fridge. The only thing I didn't turn on was my hot tub, although I'm sure it could handle it, it's not a necessity so I was not concerned

Generator arrived in good condition, was easy to install the wheels, and place the battery on charge. The supplied oil and funnel completed the prestart checklist, starting is easy with the remote. I ran the generator unloaded to break in the engine the after installing a proper disconnect and receptacle generator was loaded. This is not the excessively loud, however it does make noise, as I live out of town it was not a real concern to me. For the price this is a good unit with enough power for most items, the ability to run on propane was important to me as you can store it almost forever. The unit can run on gas however gas has a limited shelf life.

Just got this beautiful, powerful portable generator, for emergency backup incase of a power outage. A month ago our power went out for three days and we had to borrow a generator. It was an 8k generator and it kept up pretty good. After the power came back on we decided to purchase one ourselves. we chose the Westinghouse 9500 because it is reliable, powerful enough for our needs, and it looks good too.
