Assembly was a breeze and instructions are very clear. The WGen9500DFcc is well built and sturdy. I only have had a chance to do some break in time but it looks to be a very fine machine. The only negatives would be that the oil level does not indicate correctly, after putting the full 1.16 quart of oil supplied it read on the low line of the dipstick .The other problem is that the part numbers in the owners manual for high altitude propane kit don't seem to exist ?

I bought this for future power outages and I will be having an electrician install and interlock switch so that I can power my panel with this. I like that it has both a 30amp and 50 amp option. I haven’t needed to use it yet but I will be testing the functions with the electrician.

I purchased this WGN9500DF generator and it should handle all of my needs. I bought it for home use for power outages which seem to be happening more frequently. I shopped around and saw that this product came very highly recommended. How could you go wrong with Westinghouse!

I just recieved unpacked ran through setup and all is well. Using it as home backup power with a manual transfer switch installed on house panel 50amp plug.. Just in time.....power outage last night and it was used. Ran great all night even with the well pump. Used both Gas and Propane....no issues either way. Neighbors all jealous we had power all night and today with 103 degree temp. No issues. So far so good! A little noisy.

It has enough output to run the whole house and not just a few appliances. The dual fuel feature is very nice because it allows for continuous operation using two propane tanks with automatic switch over regulator. No more shutting off, cool off, refuel, resume! It can keep running with a full propane tank while the empty one is replaced.

I just purchased this Generator, I am so delighted to have such a heavy duty devise to keep our home safe from power loss, this generator is much quieter than my previous one, over 1/2 less noise. I love the ease of starting using our fob switch and the auto use of a starting our generator. I couldn't be happier. OH, the price of this generator and the quality of this machine is fantastic.

Purchased this in April, just after an ice storm had us without power for 12 days. Bought specifically for the dual fuel capacity, as we have propane here, and gasoline was in short supply all over the area, if available at all. This generator is the complete package, as shipped: Wheel kit, spark plug wrench and wrench to install the stationary pads, battery charger/minder, the propane regulator and, almost the best thing of all, a funnel with an offset extended neck to allow easy access to the otherwise-almost-impossible-to-reach oil filler opening without spilling oil all over the floor.

Dual fuel is a plus for us because our house is heated with propane and we have the option of hooking directly to the home heating supply. Due to past shoulder surgery the electric start was one of the deciding factors for me. The control panel is very well laid out and user friendly. One unexpected feature was the battery charge port with included battery charger for maintaining battery during long term storage.

We purchased this generator almost a month ago and couldn't be happier with our decision. Living in Eastern NC, we experience hurricanes yearly, and we get the occasional winter snowstorm. We live out in the country and anytime any such storm is forecasted, its practically a guarantee we will lose power. In the past, these power losses have been anywhere from a few hours to several days. I have a 26-year-old special needs daughter who spends the majority of her life on the internet. Of course, no power...no internet, It doesn't take long before everyone is in a fowl mood. Also, if the outage extends more than a few days we lose 2 chect-type freezers full of food and everything in the refrigerator. Added to all of this, I, myself was put on oxygen by my doctors in July. Its something I will have to deal with for the rest of my life. As you can read, taking all of these circumstances into account made selecting a generator a very important decision. We did our homework and researched several different models and brands. After much deliberation, we decided on the Westinghouse WGen 9500. It met all of our needs and then some, It's big enough for the square footage of our house, and having the option of using the remote is truly a blessing, I don't want to have to go out in a storm at my age to pull start it, at 70 years old, it's not safe. We haven't had it a month yet but have already put it to the test. We took almost a direct hit from tropical storm Ophelia last weekend. We lost power before the storm even made landfall. Within minutes we were back up and running. Nobody got fussy without the internet, we had no loss of food and I was able to continue on my oxygen. This generator is definitely a lifesaver. We do have plans to have it hard wired to the house when finances permit but even using it with cords, we couldn't be happier. I would like to receive the cover to protect it. Ordered this to feed the main panel of the house, which will feed just about everything in the house, including well pump, sump pump, AC, etc. Have not had to use it yet, but all indications are good that it'll be a great addition for those emergency moments. Love the option of having a choice of fuel. Especially since propane can be kept in storage indefinitely.
