I purchased this email after using my sister Westinghouse 6500 generator that we used for two different power outages. Since we have purchased this generator, we have not had to use it. When It was easy to put together but at the end of putting it together, I missed the item about putting the quick connect on the battery. Then tried to start it at a different time and it would not start so I was checking trouble shooting items and did not see this noted. I finally called the 855 # and got a case #. I reread the operation & maintenance again and did not find anything that I was doing wrong. Then I went back through the assembly portion of the user manual and notice the last item was to put the quick connect together on the battery. After doing that the unit started right up. Now we are all set for the next power outage.

This is my second Westinghouse generator. The first one performed well and reliably through several power outages and winter storms. I love the push-button start and duel fuel options. I bought the 9500DFc when I decided I wanted to be able to power more of my house. The first one was a smaller generator. If this new one works as reliably as my first one, I will be happy.

We live in Florida near the coast, so naturally a generator is a good insurance policy. We purchased a Westinghouse WGen 9500DFc. I had read fantastic reviews about the generator and the Westinghouse brand. This machine is as sturdy as they come. It's a relatively quiet operation, easy start and the duel fuel is a huge plus. If needed, we can use gas for a little extra power, but propane is a great back up plan. I love the push button start/stop since I'm a little older and rip cords/cranks are a bit much.

I just received it and within 45 minutes after unpacking the unit had it fully serviced, running and tested. Couldn't be easier. Will update after I've used it for awhile. Note: primarily purchased this as an emergency backup in case of lost power for our home. Will also be using it for electrical needs on remote locations on my property.

I bought the generator online, and unboxing was easy peasy! Once unboxed, there were only a few steps to getting the generator operational. Much of the guesswork was removed, and it was intelligently designed to use gas or propane. Propane is my first choice due to minimal upkeep and burns cleaner than gas. I hooked up my propane tank and used the remote starter and started immediately. I was happy about that.

With things the way they are. I thought i better purchase a home stand by Generator. After days of research I decided that the WGen9500DF was the one for me. Great reviews and is a beast to run everything I wanted it to. Its built very sturdy and has everything I wanted. I will be running it on propane as its easier to store and doesn't gunk up the carb. Havent had to use it yet but I am confident when I do, It will perform as expected.

Product was delivered to our garage on a pallet. Wheels where relatively easy to install with a second person, you could use a dolly so you don't have to lean it on it's side if your alone. Battery was fully charged and everything functioned properly on arrival with no signs of scratches, dents or damage. Have only run it for 5 hours so cannot vouch for it's long-term durability but happy with it overall.

I needed to have some electrical work done on my house in order to accommodate this generator (Transfer Switch Installed). When the electricians opened the box they loved what they saw! They’d not seen a generator like this before, especially the remote start-up. I have not used it yet and hopefully will not need to for the Hurricane Season here in South Florida. Fingers Crossed! I now have peace of mind which is very comforting!

Purchases this generator and fresh out of the box, does not start, oil provided with unit not sufficient per manufacture’s recommended amount, add additional qt quart to make recommended amount correct. Now waiting for customer service to respond. Pulled rope, remote, or push start not powering up machine. Have to trouble shoot and use Manuel to figure out why units not starting. Spent a lot of money on this dual gas/propane’s powers unit. Extremely disappointed in this purchase

So far so good. Easy assembly and started immediately. Fob, pull and push button all work as they should. Only tested it so far, but looks great and powerful. Reading the spec manual it says not to operate for extended periods below 5F. We lose power in Iowa we could well be below that. Put in 5W30 synthetic (allowable in the manual) as a precaution, instead of using the oil provided.
