Powerful little generator

We live in a 2 story 3400 sq ft house and this generator is setup on a line powering our main breaker box. It has enough power to run everything in our house including our AC. Great value. The one star removal is for noise, like most generators this thing is noisy.

Smart switch capability

We live in New England with sever winters and routine power outages. We had a freeze up last year costing us thousands to repair. Purchased this generator with the smart start as a replacement to hook up to our heating system. Also the lpg capability is a plus for sure starts eliminating no starts due to bad gas and frozen gas lines.

Great buy!

I purchased this generator after we experienced a several day long power outage because of a hurricane. I am so glad we now have this on hand so that we will not have to go through the same issues we had with the most recent outage. The best part is that it will power just about our entire home which will make for a very seamless transition if and when the time comes.

Power and versatility in ONE

Overall, I’m very impressed with this Westinghouse generator in terms of both the amount of power it provides, expansion capabilities, quality construction, and versatility of use. I bought this generator to be primarily used for home power in case of emergency. With up to 12,500 watts of surge power and 9500 watts running power with gas, it can handle pretty much my entire house. I LOVE the dual fuel options, as I usually have plenty of propane I can use as well. Even though the surge and running wattage is a bit lower when using propane, I still have plenty of juice to power the necessary items when the grid goes down. Esthetically, the generator is very handsome, with neat lines and logical functionality. I will be using the 30 amp/240 volt plug with a house transfer switch for now, but having a 50 amp/240 volt plug allows me to upgrade in the future. Before I bought this generator, I did quite a bit of research. This generator, the Wes9500DFc is by far the best for the money. I would highly recommend this generator if you’re looking for one of the best that combines awesome looks with high performance. POWER…VERSATILITY…QUALTY…you get it plus more with this Westinghouse 9500 DFc generator.

Easy Setup!

Choosing my first ever generator was not an easy task. Once I identified the WGen9500 DF, I knew I was on the right track. It's dual fuel functionality makes it easier to choose from your prefered fuel source. I opted to hire an electrician to install a transfer switch. The test was a successful one. Now I am ready for whenever I need my generator to jump into action. Peace of mind does have a price. Thanks Westinghouse!

So easy to use

I haven't had a chance to use this in an actual power outage (which is why I bought it) but I have fired it up to make sure it works. Since it was just a test, I didn't want to have to fill it with gasoline that I would then need to drain, so I add the oil and just hooked it up to a spare grill propane tank I had. I connected the battery, turned on the switch, and pressed the Start Button. I didn't realize it would go through several cycles of trying to start on its own, which was pretty cool. On the fourth cranking try, it caught and registered that all was working and it was outputting voltage. I didn't have to pull it across grass or dirt, but moving it around on concrete was very easy. It seems to be very user-friendly, has plenty of documentation on how to get started and how to use and store. And the dual-fuel capability is really nice.

Alot of nice features on this duel fuel genny

My son bought this for me as a gift and it does everything I need it to do. Love the duel fuel option. With gas heat and gas cooking in my house, this genny has plenty of power to run everything I have on my transfer switch....and then some. Love the Fob for starting.

Powerful model allowing all 3 fuel sources

Like many people that experienced recent hurricanes, I decided I needed to have adequate optional power sources. I had smaller gas generators, but had to keep moving the unit to power some portion of the critical need items. I decided I needed a larger unit to meet all, or most of, the needs with one unit. This unit also allows for gas, propane and natural gas fuels which is helpful as sustained power outages sometimes make it difficult to get gasoline. I test ran the unit for a short period and was pleased with the operation.
