I found this generator to be well built, and with a great feature design. Once the sturdy packing was removed, oil and fuel added, it fired right up, and ran for the burn-in without any issues. I then used it for 6 hours the next day at an event, and never even a burp. Use afterward for less continuous time it fires right up each and every time. I did a lot of research before buying, looking for a large watt unit with both gas/propane driven. It is not a choice for camping, much too large and heavy. But for job site or home backup use, I would highly recommend this beast.

We bought the Portable Westinghouse Generator the recommendation of our Electrician.After our generator transfer switch was installed in our Home Circuit Breaker box, the Generator was tested to see how much power the Westinghouse Generator could supply for our needs when our power goes out because of a Florida Storm/Hurricane. The Generator was able to power supply to power our A/C , Well , and all 120v circuits! We chose not to test with electric water heater because our water comes out warm. We are recommending to buy a Westinghouse portable Dual fuel generator. It runs on gas or propane. Very easy to use and understand. Electric start. The Frame seems to be better than our generators I looked at

I bought this generator as an upgrade to my current 8000 watt generator. My old generator was good but just couldn’t keep up with running everything I wanted to run when the power goes out. This puppy has every feature I wanted, or would ever need, and packs a ton of power! I can now run everything in my whole house when a storm knocks out my power. The only thing I don’t run is my central AC unit. Rather I run a 14,000 btu and 8,000 btu portable ACs without an issue. I live very comfortably when my power goes out!

I bought this after the hurricane in NC. We had a different model, but it wasn't strong enough to also pump water from our well. We didn't actually get to use this one, but we did start it up and it "turned over" on the first push of the electric start! We will definitely be prepared for a future power outage.

I bought this generator to replace a 20 year old Onan portable generator I use for back up power to my house. I run off propane so I don't have to worry about gasoline going bad or the carburetor gumming up. I got it out of the box. filled up the oil, connected the propane line and turned on the propane tank. I tried the remote control first and it started right up on the second try and ran it to get warm then stopped it with the remote. Waited a few minutes then tried starting it with the start button on front panel and it started right up. Let it run a few minutes then stopped it with the front panel start/stop button. I am impressed with its performance right out of the box. The remote is a nice feature too.

I bought this generator as a power outage backup for my home. I have a 2600-square-foot house with 2 AC units and this generator will run the entire house including both AC units on both gasoline and propane. (Haven't tested it with natural gas yet.) I did install soft start kits on the AC units to help with the startup power draw. I'm not looking forward to our next storm in south Texas, but I'm prepared for it!

Only 1 month of service so far, so I can’t vouch for longevity or dependability but it seems like an all around good product. Shipped to the house, it was well packed and undamaged upon arrival. It has good features and hopefully it will serve my family for many years.

i got this about 1 month ago. I run it on natural gas. set up was very easy. started right up Runs the whole house. Haven't tried the a/c yet . I have a work shop and it ran 2 240 volt heavy duty machines at once plus my household appliances. Heat ,stove, and water heater are gas.so no problem. I would not try to run my machines, the a/c and dryer at one time, but one at a time will probably work. I haven't had it long ,but so far seems like a good purchase .

I did alot of research before buying this and am very pleased. I wanted something dual fuel that would last me a lifetime and this thing is over built. Very high quality and heavy duty. I'm confident this will power whatever I throw it for as long as I need it to. Highly recommend.

Purchased about 3-4 weeks ago. Electrician went to hook-up and test the new generator today and noticed the battery connection wire casing/insulation was frayed/cut exposing the inner wire. In addition, the keyless start fob was not present. I am hoping to have Westinghouse address both of these concerns.
