Ordered this to feed the main panel of the house, which will feed just about everything in the house, including well pump, sump pump, AC, etc. Have not had to use it yet, but all indications are good that it'll be a great addition for those emergency moments. Love the option of having a choice of fuel. Especially since propane can be kept in storage indefinitely.

I bought this in anticipation of hurricane season and so far on my test runs it has performed flawlessly and effortlessly. The push start is fantastic and even has manual choke and pull start for backup which is a huge plus in my book. Runs everything I have hooked up to my transfer switch with ease. Still need to run it for full day to see what kind of run time I will get on full tank of propane.

After being disappointed with another brand of comparable size, I decided after reading 2 independant reviews of the top 5 and top 10 portable 12K generators to purchase the Westinghouse WGen9500 (which is 12K start up). The attention to detail was the first thing I noticed as I unboxed it. After attaching the wheels and base legs and putting the oil (which was supplied) in the crankcase, and 1 gallon of gas in tank, I pushed the electric start button. It took between 2-3 seconds to start and ran smoothly. The first thing I noticed was the quietness for this size generator. I have 2 smaller generators and it is quieter than either. The remote start feature is really nice. I went in the house which is 40 yds from my shop, hit the button and it started immediatley. Hooked a load to it and it performed flawlessly. I bought it for power back for my home but have not hooked it to transfer power and test it yet, since I have only had it a few days. It is also very easy to move and manuever with the big wheels and handle. I am very impressed and would recommend it to anyone who needs this size generator.

I bought this about a month ago. I was really impressed with the packaging. I was impressed with the features on the generator. There's nowhere I could make an improvement. I was also impressed with the hardware. It has all the hardware that you'll need. I would highly recommend this generator. This is the fourth generator that I had in my lifetime. It's the best.

It was very easy to install the wheels and feet. The manual is complete and easy to understand. I connected the generator to a propane tank and it started easily . During the 5 hour test run I tested each outlet with my meter , and they all tested perfect. This generator was shipped everything needed to run it. All I had to do was provide fuel.

I bought this generator to power the whole house since we live in the mountains. I'm hiring an electrician to install a 50 amp power inlet box and interlock kit. I'll be using propane to fuel it and expect that, although we'll have a slight loss of power due to high altitude and using propane, we should be able to run most of the house utilities; well, furnace, freezer, fridge, and lights. The package arrived in great shape and the instructions were well described. Please note that you have to connect the batter, of which is not listed in the instructions! Overall, very satisfied with this purchase, a bit heavy, but the large wheels and padded handle make it easy to move around. Love the remote too! The only other item I'll need is the cable to connect to the house.

I decided to purchase this generator base on peoples testimonials I haven't try it yet but the shipment was great it arrived on a pallet no dents very well protected. My family member own one of this bad boys and he is please with it so I gave it a try!

I received the 9500DF yesterday badly damaged, no owners manual/quick start guide. The packaging cardboard was underweight and there was NO molded styrofoam to protect vital generator components. The box was barely hanging on to the generator with one strap; not attached to a pallet.

These are great generators. I have used mine twice. The last time after huriccane Beryl. I now have a spare at the residence. A extra at my fishing camp in Galveston. And 1 more that I can loan a friend. I am sold on th Wgen9500DF. It will run my 5 ton a/c and everything else when pluged into the 50 amp outlet.

Unfortunately, once I unboxed my generator and set it up, I could not get it to start. I am in the process of working with Westinghouse to get it serviced and running. Very unusual for a Westinghouse product. I own a previous model of the generator and it has ran flawlessly for 8 years.
