Within an hour I had the WGEN9500 fully set up, oil and gas filled and started with the push of a button!!! The remote starter even worked on the first try! I almost WANT to lose power! Just follow the simple directions and you can easily get up and running.

This generator size is fantastic for ensuring my family has power throughout the tough Texas summers. This generator can run all essential loads (3 freezers, minimal lighting, gas stove, and 3.5 ton HVAC). Works flawlessly with an integrated generator inlet and manual transfer switch into the main service panel. Worth the money and upfront cost for piece of mind.

The generator packs a lot of power for a relatively small piece of equipment. It stores in the corner of the garage. While putting the generator together, we ran into a slight snag, so we called Customer Service, which was amazingly helpful, kind and actually enjoyable to work with. The part we did not find in the bag (the key) was tied to the ignition in order to better protect it from loss during shipment and assembly. During the call, Adam offered several other tips to help get the most from the product. We hope we don't have to use it, but we feel more prepared this year going into hurricane season in Florida.

I bought this after a major hurricane hit our area and we were without power for 9 long days during the hottest month of the year. I got it for a good price considering the model I bought is tri-fuel. I was immediately impressed withy the overall quality of the unit. Its very heavy and feels extremely sturdy and-well built. The remote start, to me, is the best feature on this model. Really comes in handy. Im almost looking forward to the next big storm so I can try this thing out!

This Generator was very easy to work with, after filling the engine with oil and the Nice 6 gallon fuel tank with "premium" fuel, it took seconds to start almost a Year later I start it weekly and runs Great! Still have not had to use it after a Florida Storm...LETS KEEP IT THAT WAY!

First time using it for pg&e shutoffs, so far so good. We are all electric at our house and this has been running water heater,well pump, refrigerator, t.v., WiFi, etc. With no problem. Easy to set up. Gas gauge doesn't work but not worth loading up and waiting for a new one. We will contact Westinghouse for a new gauge.

Generator won’t start out of the box. Charged battery, filled oil and fill new ethanol free gasoline. The remote is nice hopefully I get the starting issue fixed before I actually need it. Well built machine I’m sure something got loosened up during shipping.

While I haven't had a chance to use it yet, it is a very impressive machine. Packaging and shipping was excellent, and set-up is so easy a caveman could do it! All the controls are easily accessible, and the outlet covers looks like they'll keep the weather out. Never hope for the power to go out before, but if it does, I'm ready.

Everything is metal, the fuel tank, the control panels, and of course, the frame is all made out of metal. I did extensive research on portable generators and found that the Westinghouse WGen9500DF offered the best value and power output. I wanted the Dual Fuel option because it's easier to store propane long-term rather than gasoline. It provides me options for using this generator mainly when the power goes out. I don't have to worry about keeping my fuel fresh. Aside from the obvious high power capacity of the generator, little touches like having enough clearance to slide an oil pan under the drain plug are huge. Plus, the handle is permanently attached and not an afterthought. It pivots up for easy maneuvering and folds down for storage when not in use. This generator has ample power to run my entire house at less than 50% capacity. That was one of the main selling points was the $'s / generated watt was superior to the others I looked at.

9500DF is a heavy, so it requires 2 people to install front feet and rear wheels. The set up and startup procedures are very straightforward, especially when using the electric start/fob. I connected the generator to my home using GenerLink device. I was able to power lights, appliances, computer related equipment, well pump, sump pump, and oil heat boiler without issue. I can power a small central air conditioning system by limiting use of other energy hogs. The 9500DF looks great, is well built, starts easily, and delivers the power. The dual fuel support adds tremendous flexibility should outages come with fuel availability challenges. I was able to buy at a promotional price further adding to the 9500DF’s already solid value proposition.
