I did a very exhaustive analysis to but a home generator. Westinghouse had the best option for me. Price, features and quality were the top criteria for me and my house necessities. My 9500DF was easy to install and with the Gas/Propane option it is just perfect.

I bought this generator to power my entire house in the event of a prolonged power outage. It was packaged very well with easy to follow instructions on setup and operation. It comes with oil (you have to add prier to starting) and a funnel for easy filling. I'm running mine on propane and after connecting the propane tank it started right up. I love the remote. Just push the button and it starts. I have my house circuit panel wired with a generator inlet. In testing it, I cut the main breaker to the power grid, used a 50 amp extension cord connecting to the circuit panel inlet. I turned on my A/C, electric stove, microwave, TV and all my lights and the WGen9500DF didn't miss a beat. This is the first generator I have owned and it is a little noisier than I expected. I have it in my attached garage with the exhaust safely vented outside but when I'm in the house I can hardly hear it. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and can't wait for the next power outage :-).

We purchased this after riding out a few Hurricanes/tropical storms in the dark after the power was cutoff to the neighborhood. Luckily we haven't had to use it in an emergency but have thoroughly tested it fore performance (under load), and we're liking the response from this unit! Also the remote start is a great feature as going out in the dark to pull start a machine is a real pain in the backside.

Just received this unit and it is a very nice unit and will provide the necessary power needed to operate the house. Very easy to assemble and to get started the first time I plan on using it in my shop also. very easy to operate and I like the dual fuel feature.

Four bolts and two cotter pins, add some.oil and fuel, hook up the battery and away you go. Doesn't get much easier than this. It's plugged in to our 50 amp interconnect kit as a standby for for power outages. It should run just about everything in our house.

We are very happy with our generator purchase. The shipping was timely and it arrived in perfect condition. The manual and setup were easy to follow. We did start it up and it ran perfectly. We really like the manual start button and bonus remote start feature. This generator has enough power to run everything we will need during a power outage.

We got this to have as a backup emergency if power went out , and soon after bough hurricane Helena hit , is been a life saver ! We have our fridge running and other essentials around the house! and with the electric start makes things so smooth to operate for me as a women

The box arrived without any dings and the generator itself was in perfect condition. The unit came with oil and a filler, spark plug wench, wrench for the legs, battery charger, propane hose and of course the wheels and front supports. Set up was easy and it started right up and ran the first time with no issues using the propane (I don't plan on using gas unless I have to). It's not quiet but I didn't expect it to be either. My only complaint is they only provide just enough oil to get it to the 'low' end of the stick. You'll need to add about another 1/3 quart of oil. Other than that, I'm very pleased with the unit so far. Oh, don't forget to push the GFCI buttons on the 110 outlets if they don't appear to work initially.

Very happy with the way the 9500 set up. Owners manual was explicit and easy to follow. Fired up first try after quick charge to unit by equipped charger. Tested output to transfer switch. Performed as anticipated. Good value for homeowner. Price is right.

I purchased this generator to power our home in an emergency. I have a 50 Amp connector and a natural gas quick connect on our home. I was very impressed with the generator. It was very easy to set up. 1. Unbox the unit 2. Install legs on the front 3. Install wheels on the rear 4. Fill with the included 10W30 oil 5. Take outside in the open air 6. Connect the 12 volt battery 7. Fill with gasoline 8. Switch the starting source th gasoline 9. Open the gasoline valve to allow fuel to the engine 10. Then push the key fob for 2 seconds and it started the first time To stop it: 1. Push the stop button on the key fob then let it stop automatically 2. Turn off the gasoline valve 3. Turn the fuel selector to off I am extremely impressed with the build quality and simplicity of the generator. It also has a multi-purpose gauge which is very useful.
