[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the KitchenAid 6 Speed Hand Mixer with Flex Edge Beaters to make several of my Thanksgiving Dinner and it worked great! The mixer had more than enough power to make 15 pounds of mashed potatoes. There are many design features that make the mixer easy to use. The mixer can stand upright while not in use. The flex edge beaters do not damage the mixing bowls and appear to be very durable. And the cord can be stationed in 3 different positions to allow easy operation without the cord getting in the way. I enjoyed using this mixer in comparison to my older model.

The paddles suck because the black rubber has been coming off and if I don't catch it & snip with scissors it ends up in whatever I am baking ... who ever came up with that design, not sure what they were thinking but it's an epic fail! The mixer itself I love, it is just not fast enough, so this year I bought a 9 speed.

It seems every year she and her mother are trying new baking recipes for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I am the beneficiary of most of these. This mixer is just perfect. The ease of use, versatility, and quick clean up make it a winner. She tried to explain how the beaters are cutting edge and speed up her work. I just ask for the other one. Being a Kitchen Aid product we knew the long lasting quality would be there. I would recommend one for every kitchen.
