It is difficult to get the blades into the mixer, it's as if you have to put a specific blade into a specific slot. The quality of the plastic is questionable. However, it does mix very well and the rubber on the blades is very nice because it does hinder the loud metal noise that I had with my previous hand mixer.

I'm glad she did, because it opened up my need for a replacement. I really thought there wouldn't be any difference. I loved my last model. It was reliable, well made, well powered. This one is all those things, but more. The flex edge beaters don't seem like a big deal, but they are a big deal. They are WAY quieter in your glass bowls. WAAAAY quieter. They also get the stuff off the bottom of the bowl, like squeegee clean. Very impressed!

I originally was hesitant about the color I was getting but this baby blue is so beautiful and eclectic. It powers up so smooth and fast as those nice big professional mixers but I love that it’s so small and portable and most of the time I’m not even reaching for my professional countertop mixer. It blends really fast and the storage of how you keep the beaters is very smart. This is my go to for mixer because if I’m not beating something 5+ minutes, this gets the job in a matter of seconds. I cannot stress how important it is that this speeds up in the proper manner and it’s a smooth mix. Just trust me and get this you will not be disappointed.

The silicone tipped beaters protected the inside of my pan and the mixer created soft, creamy mashed potatoes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the KitchenAid 6 Speed Hand Mixer with Flex Edge Beaters to make several of my Thanksgiving Dinner and it worked great! The mixer had more than enough power to make 15 pounds of mashed potatoes. There are many design features that make the mixer easy to use. The mixer can stand upright while not in use. The flex edge beaters do not damage the mixing bowls and appear to be very durable. And the cord can be stationed in 3 different positions to allow easy operation without the cord getting in the way. I enjoyed using this mixer in comparison to my older model.

(Especially as I get older) This mixer fits my needs from whipping cream to making cookies. It has two clips on the bottom to hold the beaters so I am not losing them in the back of my drawer. The beaters have a soft rubber edge so they don’t scratch up your bowls. It also comes with a whisk attachment to use instead of the beaters when needed.

It also has the positive side effect of dampening the noise of the beaters against the bowl. It's whipped together batter quickly with no mess and minimal noise. Overall, the KitchenAid 6 Speed Hand Mixer was easy to use, quick to clean, powerful, and surprisingly quiet. I'd recommend it.
