[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotch Box Lock Packaging Tape is a good quality tape. It does indeed stick instantly to boxes. The boxes are sealed and feel secured. The tape itself feels thick and very durable. You can tell that this is a high quality product. The roll is easy to start and even if it slips off the holder and re-sticks to the roll, I found it easy to restart it. Very good tape for shipping or storage. I received this product for free from 3M to evaluate.

This is a fairly standard tape dispenser but the tape has good weight and stick to it and dispenses very quietly unlike some rolls I have had in the past. I cannot speak to durability as i haven;t had it long enough.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use packing tape every day. This tape is true to its advertising. It immediately sticks and only one layer is needed. Gone are the days of wrapping a box in multiple layers of packing tape. The tape dispensing is smooth as silk and the tape teeth tear on the first try. Hands down, this is the best tape for a secure seal.

I packed a box to ship and then used this 3M Scotch Box Lock Shipping Tape to tape it all up as the box was traveling 800 miles. As I taped it up, it was so quiet to use that I dreamed about my days of yesteryear of liking to play quiet tennis. It's like regular tennis but no one raises a racquet. Box made it to destination safely and the receiver said the tape held up 100% and wasn't peeling off the box at all! Thanks, 3M for another decent, worth-while product!

This is perfect for the majority of my small to large sized boxes. I would appreciate a wider version being made for when I'm shipping (or storing something) in an extra large box. But that's not due to quality of the product; it's more of a personal preference (and an idea for the product development department). In full disclosure, I did receive this as a free sample to evaluate from 3M.

It is amazing to find a tape like this since most of them are too thin and they easily break. 3M gave me a free sample of this product to evaluate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3M sent me a free sample of this new tape. I tried it and it is nice! Smooth motion without any of that awkward snapping. There is no sticky residual at the end of tape. Tough and durable too. A nice winner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape is perfect for sealing boxes, I used this tape for a bit of clenaing and fro donating clothes and other items. I sealed these boxes using this tape and it did not peel off during transporting to various locations, even when the boxes got wet the tape stayed on.

I tried to find the best way to test the claims for this tape, and eventually decided on using it to tape an everyday cardboard box shut, after it had been thoroughly soaked with water. After I drenched the box, I let it dry enough to be able to keep it's shape when trying to tape it shut. As expected, the tape had a difficult time sticking to the box, but after a few rubs back and forth, it took hold, and actually stayed. I expected it to slowly peel away from the box, but once it took hold, it stayed adhered to the box.
