[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Solid heavy duty tape. In contrast to some others I've used, I don't feel like I have to excessively tape up a box to make it secure. It's also doesn't seem as prone to sticking to itself, which is a nice feature when you're attaching a return label to a box, i.e. the tape doesn't wrinkle and obstruct the text on the label. I received this product from 3M as a sample to review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a roll of this Scotch Box Lock packaging tape from 3M for my honest review. This tape rolls super smooth. It doesn't do what other rolls do, making that horrible noise when you use it. You can also feel the thickness of the tape and know it has you covered. This tape would be great for packaging up your most precious items for shipping or even for moving.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tape is nice and thick and I was a little skeptical about it's sticking abilities because of that thickness until I actually sealed a box with it. It sticks. It also unrolls smoothly and it's easily cut with the built in cutter on the dispenser. This smaller roll is also easier to grip and use but would obviously run out a lot quicker than the larger roll so I feel this size is best for those who want a sturdy tape but don't use it as often. If you ship/pack items more often, a larger roll would be a better bet.

If it twists on you and sticks to itself, you might as well just cut it because it won't let loose; not that this is an issue as I purposely caused this just to see. Another great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have always used Scotch packing tape in our home but this one is a little nice upgrade. It is slightly thicker and goes on the box easily. We used to buy a roll and cut off the tape with scissors. Over time, the scissors would be sticky and the blades a little stuck due to the glue residue. This Box Lock tape comes with a tape cutter for your convenience! It is durable and truly a solid product. I received a sample from 3M but the opinions are my own.

I was recently doing some packing and I wanted to compare this tape to standard packaging tape and this one was definitely better. I was able to use without much effort and it held the box tops very nice and tight without me having to double tape.

Scotch has been my go-to for years and the addition of the Box Lock packaging tape to the lineup is very welcome. I've used competitor products in the past and they seem to adhere to a package initially, but slowly release over a short period of time for a wide variety of reasons. I have yet to be disappointed with this packaging tape, however. The tape is easy to apply, it does exactly what it says it will do, and I look forward to using it for my packaging needs with satisfied results in the future. Scotch packaging tape has always been great and it just got even better. Don't skimp and save a few pennies, as it will simply end up costing you more in the long-term since you'll need to use twice or three times as much with inferior results.

Even though the tape is super sticky, I was able to easily peel up the edge to start the roll without the tape shredding into several pieces. My first use was to seal a heavy box for shipping. The tape gripped firmly to the box without peeling up or tearing.
