One piece of tape holds the box closed tightly and securely. The tape is super sticky and sticks well to the box and stays put unlike some other tapes I have used that seems to always peel up after a bit. For example, when I repainted my kitchen table, I put all of the hardware on my tape so it didn't get lost! What I love most about the 3M-Scotch Box Lock packaging tape is that it is easy to cut a small piece and easy to pull and cut a long piece. It is very sticky, yet somehow it doesn't stick to itself when using on a box. It sure sticks firmly when I close up a box for storage.

Usually you get tape that is hard to tare or tares too easily. But this was great. I highly recommend this for all your packaging needs.

Total weight of the box + return was about 5 pounds. I purchased a box and used the Scotch Box Lock Packaging Tape. I was impressed with how much more durable it felt compared to some other packaging tape that I have. I am an "over secure" packer meaning I run multiple lines of tape over the same seam. I have got in the habit of this over the years due to inferior packaging tapes that had me questioning whether the tape would hold. For the first time in a long time, I only taped the seams JUST ONCE using the Scotch Box Lock Packaging Tape. It truly has a secure tight bond that puts me at ease. Return was sent and successfully received. 3M gave me a free sample of this product to evaluate. I plan on purchasing this and using this as my "go to" tape for future packaging.

They'll be down there for a few years so the boxes need to stay dust and bug free. Once I sealed the box, I tried to peel some of it back and it's not going anywhere! I feel confident that our belongings will stay safe.
