I wanted to keep the boxes because I would also use them for relocating in the future. This tape really works wonders because it holds heavy boxes sealed. I am not worried about storing my items because the tape is very durable which keeps saying out dust and dirt.

I feel the stickiness is very good for this packing tape. The dispenser works well on tearing the tape at the right spot and length.

In fact, it's a must and thanks to Scotch's new Box Lock Shipping Tape, I can package my items securely and have peace of mind in knowing they'll arrive at their destination in the condition in which they left....excellent!! The adhesive of this shipping/packaging tape is powerful, as is the tape itself. A lot of times I'm packaging items by myself and one-handed while holding the box top down with the other hand, which is why the superior grip and stick of this tape is especially impressive. You can be rest assured that once you place the tape where you want it, it's not going anywhere. The application is seamless and much more quieter than your common shipping tape. In addition, because this shipping tape is formulated to stick and stay, it doesn't split, tear, or fray like some. I shipped out 3 packages this past weekend, all of which were different textures of cardboard & different colors, and the Scotch Box Lock Shipping Tape adhered beautifully to each and every package! Tightly sealed & secured, yet smooth! Now that's what I call the perfect package....one that doesn't have 20 pieces of tape, but still secured well thanks to the excellent quality & performance of 3M Scotch Box Lock Shipping Tape! This tape is a one strip and done deal which there alone makes it cost effective. No more need to use three or four strips to ensure your box is secure! So easy to use just like their other tape but strong for the tough jobs!

Don't take much to secure the package. I ship multi items out often and am very happy with this.Unfortunately the tape ran out very fast.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a rugged packing tape that is easy to use. It’s designed to securely attach to boxes with a secure hold with just a single layer. I found that to be very accurate! I closed a variety of boxes with this tape and it felt really secure. The most notable feature for me was the easy tear! Just twist the tape and it tears so cleanly! And it’s not loud to use either. Sometimes packing tape can be ridiculously loud to unravel. This is not that way! I can’t think of any downsides to this tape. This is great for basic shipping needs, sealing boxes to put into storage, or even “laminating” flash cards! This tape is a great product to have on hand. I received the product free from 3M to evaluate.

It is super easy to use and is really tough and holds strong.Easy to start the tape and that is a big plus. perfect size for storage.

I usually spend the extra $ for Scotch brand packing, shipping and box tape because they adhere well, but most importantly when I lose the end it is easy to find and peel up with my fingernails.. I can get the tape back to the full width with minimal loss.The lot of tape I got for moving last year and continue to use is horrid! When I lose an end, it is difficult to find, it shreds, and when I’m finally able to get it to the full width, I’ve lost 6-8” of tape. It was this experience with cheap tape that made me a Scotch brand tape loyal customer. I am very disappointed with what I consider a degradation in the quality of the product. I am sure it is thinner which is probably why the end Is so difficult to find and peel. I will not buy this product again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is great tape. I have been shipping a lot of stuff and boxing stuff up for storage lately. This tape actually works. It rolls freely and cuts nicely. It doesn't have the problems other tapes have with it being hard to restart. And it stays on the box - doesn't matter if it is a new box or if it is a used one.
