I'm an retired electronics technician and had hard time working with my phone's ability to read the QR codes. However, when it worked, it just about set itself up with no additional programming. A great feature is that it sends the alarm signal to the app on your cellphone so you are notified even if your not home. Note: When testing it out with water, I did it outside since the alarm has a ear piercing volume, and I have cats in my home.

We bought an extra battery backup for our sum pump that we ended up returning after we found this device. It keeps us informed of the basement temperature, the presence of water and if there is a freeze risk! Side note….this is so easy to get setup!

This item started and paired quickly. Tested it twice before putting it behind our washer dryer combo unit. Uses two alkaline batteries included. Note this unit looks like a few less expensive ones I had to return because they were unreliable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product I found very easy to set up. It is compact enough to fit anywhere and the alert system is at the perfect pitch to be able to hear. Performance so far from what I have seen is acceptable.

When I needed to turn on my AC again going into this spring the drainage tube clogged and unfortunately the bobber did not turn it off. That meant that it flooded and caused damage to my floor and 2nd floor ceiling under it. Now with this detector I’ll know if it ever happens again and can shut it off! The detector itself works great, I tested it a couple times and it’s able to detect water very well. The app is also nice and easy to use. The only issue I had was connecting it to wifi took multiple tries and much longer than it should have with connectivity issues. Besides registration this would be 5 stars!!

I like that I can check the status on my phone. I have two and the only thing that needs to change is the interface on the app. If you have more then one u have to go clicking to see the other device and if u didn’t know any better u might think it’s not hooked up

There are problems with changing the email address in the app. Once you try to change it the app gets stuck on the "Add Property" screen and will not go past this point. A message appears stating "Something went wrong, please try again". I contacted Kidde support but the issue has not been resolved. In order to use the app I had to shut off wifi then turn it back on, then log in using the old email address.
