[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sharpener is perfect for someone like me who cannot consistently maintain the correct angle on a traditional whetstone. I sharpened both zwilling knives and cheap kitchenaid knives back to slicing thru sheets of paper easily. It took all of 2 minutes to sharpen did not require any complicated soaking or technique like a traditional stone.

I don’t have the patience but this was easy and fast and the result is a sharp knife and in the words of my dad, a sharp knife is a safe knife!

I hate looking up the angles and using the adjustable type sharpener. The adjustable sharpeners will eventually fatigue and the angles change as you pull the knife through the sharpener. This one won't do that as they are fixed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first used this knife sharpener on the Santoku style knife I had to pull it through the sharpener about 60 times (coarse and then fine) to finally get it sharp enough to cut paper. It’s much sharper than it was before so the sharpener works, it just took a lot of effort to get it there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that this sharpener works really well to keep my henckels knives sharp. For any home use, this sharpener does a a really great job. I don’t see a need to have to take your knives somewhere to get sharpened and pay the extra cost. This sharpener comes with a honing side too if your knife set doesn’t come with that. This sharpener is so light weight yet sturdy and very easy to store in a small kitchen! I highly recommend and really like the fact it has separate sharpening for German steel knives and Asian style too since they are different.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great on blades made of softer steel. Which are the ones you need to sharpen most. It is very convenient, quick and easy to sharpen your knife while you are cooking and realize your knife went dull. I’ll keep trying to sharpen my knifes made of harder steel to see if I get them as sharp as they used to be. Otherwise will have to use electric sharpener for those. Other slightly unpleasant side effect is noise. It gives me goosebumps, but I suppose can’t sharpen without it with this kind of sharpener. Previously I used electric 3-steps grinder for my knifes, then switched to stone grinder which is great, but not as quick since you have to soak it first. If your knife has any, even tiny chips in the blade, you cannot use this sharpener.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product is pretty much like all other pull through sharpeners but this one also has slots for Asian knives. Products like this grind a lot of steel away but if you’re in a rush and your knife if dull, this’ll do the job.
