Even though we purchased the cod prior to the expiration date, it had a very strong smell. Cod normally does not have a strong odor. I couldn't return it the day we purchased it so I pressure sealed it and am returning it today (2 days later) with the label and receipt.

Bought this and immediately froze. A few days later my freezer smelled increasingly strong of amonia. We had to throw it away along with about $50 worth of items from my freezer. Everything reeked of rotten amonia smell, it would leave the smell on your fingers. I've never buy cod here again.

Upon opening, the cod smelled extremely fishy. We have purchased cod before, and had a very bad experience, so we were very worried. We rinsed and patted dry and cooked. We were pleasantly surprised at the taste, very mild. We were very happy with the taste. We have learned to purchase only when Use By Date is a week out.

The cod smelled old when the package was opened. Very disappointing.

frozen for too long i guess the fish was not flaky but instead mushy!

Great fresh cod. Being all the way in the south I was surprised it was so juicy and fresh.
