Bought this as Sam's no longer carries the plain, frozen cod portions for some reason. This fillet cooked well, tastes fine, but has a very strong fish odor (bacteria) out of the package and when reheated. Bring back the wild caught, plain, frozen cod portions please.

A hit and miss. If you get a good one then it cooks very well. White flaky meat seasoned to perfection creates a great meal.

Very disappointed. Even though the fish was cryovaced it still was old.

This time this Cod fillets were super salty, which is weird as it's supposed to be wild caught and fresh.

Fish was VERY SMELLY. Did not eat it.

This Cod was kept on ice until it was removed from packaging to freeze in meal portions from Sam's to home. It did not smell exactly right but continued. Removed a portion from freezer a couple weeks later to prepare for a meal. Thawed in refrigerator, when opened for cooking the smell was quite offensive & did not serve for dinner. Took to customer service for a credit of $39.87. Extremely disappointed

The fish looked fresh and we had never gone wrong with this cod before. It didn't appear that anything was wrong when we were preparing it. However, the fish had a distinctive bitter taste that was not from the seasoning from preparation. Needless to say we had to change our plans for a delicious fish dinner. We went back to Sams Club to explain what happened and they graciously refunded our purchase price. We may try the cod again since we have always had a good experience before. We just wonder what went wrong?

The cod was spoiled. I ordered online for delivery and once it was delivered, it went straight in the freezer. Once I took it out to cook about 2 weeks later, that is when I discovered it was spoiled. I immediately went called customer service and with no problem or issues was given a gift card for sam's. com or walmart.com or I can use the gift card in store. The customer service rep was courteous and she provided outstanding customer service. This is why I love both Sam's and Walmart and will continue to shop both places for life.

I used to buy frozen wild cod and wild salmon from Sam's before they switched to Member's Mark wild fish. the last MM wild cod was not expired and upon opening had a strong fishy almost spoiled smell. I proceeded to wash it and removed 3 fine bones. I didn't want to risk my kids health so I ended up throwing it out. Unfortunate! Now I just buy my wild fish from my local Jewel Osco.

I brought cod x2 for this month, very smelly, I hope you looked into this fish before you sell it to customers. I rated it as ZERO.
