Great product but very difficult to put together

It took forever and a half for us to decipher the directions and how to put the pieces together. We called/ chatted for help several times and had to invite friends over to help assemble it. Please work on clarifying directions so that it does not take so long. That said, the assembled product is great to use.

Great Hoops... for indoors

I work at a school. We purchased 4 of these hoops. We have 2 inside and 2 outside. They all get LOTS of use. The ones inside have held up wonderfully. Unfortunately, filling the bases with water did not provide enough support to keep the hoops on the ground with the heavy winds we get in the Colorado foothills. The wind has blown them over several times destroying the rims. We are getting new rims and filling the bases with sand. Hopefully, that will help.

Great Value!

Bought this ffor when grandkids visit and happy I did. The goal is very easy to adjust up and down so all sizes of kids can enjoy playing! The box came with incorrect part but I called customer service and Ryan sent the correct part that day-great service and concern for customer satisfaction! Recommend Highly!

Terrible instructions

The instructions are the worst. The parts are not to scale and they refer to everything as ABC and ABJ but the parts don't have labels on them. The fit for the backboard is so tight that if you tighten all the parts as instructed prior to trying to attach you have to take everything back apart again. There isn't a single video on this website or all of Youtube to show if your using the wrong screws since, once again its label in three letter combinations that aren't on the parts. If this company had an simple 8 to 10 minute instruction video laying out the parts and how to fasten together it would be much better.

Very sturdy. Easy to adjust height. Great fun

Just put it up and played a game on it. First impressions are this is an amazingly good buy. A solid, obviously well built and seemly durable piece of equipment. Assembly is lengthy but instructions are very well done & walk step by step. Bags of parts are labeled for each section of the assembly process. Go slow. Pay very close attention Hard parts: 1) Getting axle thru base. After a couple of tries where it was not even close, I sliced the holes another 1/4" larger. That did it. Tip: If assembling alone, use a clamp with a jig as your second pair of hand push the axle into the second hole while banging it in. 2) If on grass do NOT fill base until its positioned. Wow this was a mistake! The wheels roll great on hard surface but sink into the ground and then there is no moving it. It was hard to get it up on plywood and walking it in plank by plank took a long time The 'base gel' sold elsewhere seems to work really well. I did not want to use sand. The base is extremely heavy and the goal is held solidly Can you assemble alone? Yes. But its not easy. Now that its up? Its fantastic. Solid. No more shake or wobble that you get at a public park's goal. The hoop is sturdy. The backboard is large and you can tell it has a steel frame. Very pleased and impressed with this purchase.

Great customer service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Action Grip Portable Basketball System. During the assembly we needed a replacement bolt. I called the company (800 # listed on the front of the assembly instructions - genius!). It was easy to get through to a live person and they were happy to send a replacement part free of charge and it came in a few days (sooner than they told me it would). Also once we put it up we found a few untied knots in the net that we couldn't retie. I called CS again and same story - happy tos send a replacement net at no charge. Lastly the product was reasonably priced and very good quality.

Nice goal; Instructions could be better

I'm very handy, but during assembly, I got confused twice. One confusion resulted in having to undo and redo assembling quite a bit because I got the poll backwards with the rim hanging over the base. Oops! The problem could have been easily avoided with a change in the picture in section 2.2 where you connect the poll to the base. It does say "with the lip...," but a better picture (even with the lip identified) would have helped. Another section is clearly wrong. In section 6.1, the "Right Frame Pad (BAB)" is clearly pictured differently than the Right Frame Pad under "Parts Required." In the picture in Section 6.1, Left and Right are reversed. As a final comment, the self-drilling screws are very hard to install with a rechargeable, battery drill. A corded drill would be much better.

Good product. The installment needs a lot of works....

Finally, I have received my required parts on May 20. It took a month to arrive. Don’t know why? I have been patiently waiting since April 18. The last call (3rd call) I have made was on May 14 to check where the parts are. Each time, I have to wait for 40 minutes to an hour to have someone answer the phone. Although, the customer service person is polite and courteous. Just like other customer’s review, the instruction is not clear and complete. So is the APP. It doesn’t show you all the step pictures (APP) from scratch to the end. Lifetime should treat your each customer is first time buyer (installer) and doesn’t know anything about this product. Lastly, I have problem to tighten the ADS screw. Because of several time of screw and unscrew, it makes the hole slightly enlarge. Can you send me 2 screw which are slightly large size than ADS? Thank you for your service.

Poorly made.

I bought this about a month ago now, and my kids love playing with it. However, I'm not sure how long it will last. We purchased this and then assembled it the same day. While assembling it we found that the base is extremely flimsy. We worried if and how long it will actually support the pole and hoop. We figured that perhaps once it was filled it would work better but it did not. When we stood it upright, the base cracked! While we were filling it, we noticed that it was already broken and had additional holes in it where the water leaked out. It is not sealed tight! So now in order to use this basketball hoop, we have to keep a bag of sand on top of it to keep it from falling over and I'm not sure how long it will last. I only keep it up because my kids love it so.

Awful Product

This Lifetime basketball hoop is just awful. About one hour into the assembly of the first hoop I bought, a part broke. I returned the entire hoop to the store and picked up a second hoop. Two hours into the assembly of that hoop, I found that a part was missing. Headed back to the store for the third time in three days to see if I can open a box and get the one part I’m missing. Please consider another brand when looking for a basketball hoop.
