We love the flavor of Peet's coffee and the price was good even with shipping costs. The downside is the "best purchase by" date was only 4 weeks from when we received it. It was roasted 2 months earlier. Would have given it 5 stars if it had been fresher.

This is a pretty good coffee. Sam's doesn't carry much in the way of good whole bean coffee (in store). At least in Tyler. But this is good...At least as long as I order in time. The bags could be larger. I know I could order more, but they should have a three pound, or two pack at a lesser price. I like the taste of the dark roast and this is not a bad choice.

Major Dickason's Blend is my go-to coffee to brew at home! It is the most consistent, best-tasting coffee that I've ever had! If you're a fan of dark roast coffee or, quite frankly, any coffee for that matter, you owe it to yourself to taste this blend! You'll end up drinking it everyday, as I do!

I have been buying Major Dickinson coffee for many years. I have tried other coffees but keep coming back to this as my favorite. I just bought some to make cold brew coffee. It is amazing in a cold brew. I did the full amount and It was actually too strong and I love it strong. It holds up yo being poured over ice with a bit of almond milk for creaminess. I highly recommend this blend hot or cold. It is my go to.

Coffee is still wonderful, i have been drinking Major Dic's for over 40 years. However, customer service has taken a nose dive in recent years - i used to be able to schedule my auto deliveries for any length of time, now i have to choose from a few preset schedules. Used to be able to pick type of delivery (ground, air mail, etc), now i have to cancel and start a new subscription with the limited scheduling to change shipping method. I used to love being a peetnik, now, not so great.

I've consumed many pounds of Major Dickason's Blend. It is consistent flavorful drink. It is my reference for a good cup of coffee. Unfortunately, service for orders has dramatically gotten worse recently. Version in the store is never quite as fresh.

I have been subscribing to Peet's quite a while (Major Dickason's and House blend). I have noticed some change - negative way - in taste and aroma in recent orders. I can't feel the sharpness anymore, it is dull and characterless. I hope it comes back to the Peet's style soon.

The coffees that I ordered (1 lb each of Major D's, Arabian Mocha-Sanani) are as always the best. The coffee itself is all of five stars. And it is a major convenience to be able to order and enjoy them here in the Land of Perpetual Winter (Montana) where I live. But it took 13 days from time I placed this order until it finally arrived, and that is just too long, hence the two-star review.

Absolutely outstanding coffee! Some dark roast coffees can be bitter. But Major Dickason's Blend is almost sweet -- and I drink my coffee strong, black and with no sugar. The taste of this freshly roasted Peets Coffee simply cannot be topped. I will be buying again and again and again. Thank you!

I bought this because of its popularity to give it a try. For me, it is decidedly meh. Not objectionable, but no real personality either. Caveat: Compared to the other coffees I drink. Certainly, if you are used to ordinary, sour-tasting, burned coffee, this will be a revelation of goodness. If it is the first good coffee you have ever had (compared to coffees which are considered to be good but are really just vehicles for multiple add-ins), you are likely to swoon. But compared head on with smooth, rich, deeply flavorful coffees, there doesn't seem to be much here. Would I recommend it to a friend? Depends on where I think that friend stands, with respect to coffee. There is certainly nothing wrong with this - no flaws other than lack of distinction.
