Since I like my coffee dark and rich, this was my first choice. Found I needed to use slightly more granules than my former brand to get the same depth of flavor. May try a French Roast next. Nonetheless, Major Dickason is a safe choice for a dark roast.

We love that we can order our visiting family's favorite Peet's blend on line! Letting you know that the coffee was sent loose in a box with the Chemex filters we ordered, and had split and spilled all over the box. Some bubble wrap around the coffee is our suggestion. This has been my "go to" blend for years. I purchase the whole beans and grind them at home for use in either a standard coffee pot or to make espresso. Either way it always tastes great. I like dark roast coffee but don't like flavor to be overly strong. This strikes a great balance.

People who can talk about gourmet coffee, wine, fine cuisine, have something on me, which is remarkable, given that I'm a former barista at an independent coffeehouse steeped in the hands-on Italian tradition. So, with but a few exceptions, Major Dickason's Blend, for me, is just about as close to perfect as it gets.

My wife grew up in Berkeley and in fact had her coffee served or rung up by none other than Mr. Peet, before Peet's became a global brand. Happily the slow and careful roasting and bean selection processes are still respected at Peets and we could not be happier to find Major Dickason's blend available at Sam's Club.

Major Dickason is simply the best coffee I’ve ever had!! I first drank it when we moved to Portland, OR in 2008. We lived there for 9 years I loved being able to go into the Peet’s store and get fresh ground coffee. We live in Phoenix, AZ now and they don’t have Peet’s stores but I still order my favorite coffee.

Had gone to a coffee that came in frac pacs, flavor was very good and was from a family roaster we tried while at a wedding. Had been drinking for about a year when wife said let’s try Pete’s Major Dickason’s again. Forgot how good this was, do not mind grinding every morning.

Coffee is still wonderful, i have been drinking Major Dic's for over 40 years. However, customer service has taken a nose dive in recent years - i used to be able to schedule my auto deliveries for any length of time, now i have to choose from a few preset schedules. Used to be able to pick type of delivery (ground, air mail, etc), now i have to cancel and start a new subscription with the limited scheduling to change shipping method. I used to love being a peetnik, now, not so great.

The coffee is delicious. This was out 1st experience with grinding our own beans. We find that the coffee is fresher and hearty. We tried using up our old blended, canned and ground coffee - no longer does it for us. Once we got used to the order routine, we were completely satisfied. We are setting up automatic ordering to make sure we have a constant supply.
