Dear Peet's I'm not a coffee pro by any means but i love move dark roast coffee i love coffee very strong and dark and searched on line to find the darkest strongest coffee i could and nothing compared to Peet's MAJOR DICKASON'S BLEND thank you for making the best flavored coffee ever

I was so thrilled to finally find Peet?s on the shelf at our club store. Despite all of the excellent reviews, it has been pulled. Such a shame, especially since the savings were significant. This has happened frequently, love a product only to find it pulled from the shelves. Now that we?re empty nesters I?m considering cancelling the membership, no use paying for membership when the products I like keep getting discontinued.

Seems like really good coffee even if its past it's prime shelf life. Every Sam's I've gone to has this either past or extremely close to recommended sell by date. This also goes for online purchases which came to us already expired before it even shipped.

On Christmas day 2016 My stepmother gave me a brand new never opened Major Dickason's Blend Decaf. I drink Cameron's coffee in the morning and decided to try the decaf in the afternoon with a snack. I have to say it's really good. I put most of it in a large glass jar to keep it fresh and I will be using the leftover from the bag first. I have to say the coffee isn't bitter and has a nice rich taste to it for non flavored coffee. I'll just be sad when it's finally gone, since I can't order online and you don't have it available that I know in Wisconsin. I love the smell of it too, it has a great smell and taste to it. The only reason I gave it four stars is because I want to drink it for awhile to put it to the test.

I have to say this is the best cup of coffee I have ever made myself. My girlfriend wanted to get me a special coffee for Christmas this year so I asked my Uncle for recommendations since he does have great taste (he is also a former coffee shop owner in Pullman) and this is what he pointed me to. I will explain how I made it personally that I recommend highly if this is your preference - For a small batch I used 3 cups of water brought to a boil in my old enamel coffee pot then removed from heat for the remainder. After 30 seconds I stirred in exactly one third of a cup of Major Dickason's grounds strait in then let it sit for 2 minutes, stirred again allowing it to sit for another 2 minutes. After that I add a little bit of cold water to settle the grounds and pour immediately into my cup. The result was a silky smooth yet robust cup of coffee with a fantastic flavor (I would almost say a mild chocolate?) that truly left me impressed. I honestly cannot see myself buying anything else after this, if you haven't tried it I promise this is great. I also promised I was not paid to write or try this, I have never had this brand before today and I believe great products deserve great recognition so I wanted to contribute.

I did a side-by-side comparison w/ these beans (Major D blend). I had my freshly roasted beans sent from Peet’s to my doorstep and my sister’s store-bought beans in a 2 lb bag. I love Peet’s subscriptions. Sadly, I couldn’t convince her to switch to ordering fresh beans. The Major D beans that I ordered made coffee that was either kind of bitter or sour, depending on how we ground them. We tried several times over several days using a very good grinder & a good drip machine. We tried lots of settings.The Major D beans from the store seemed less fussy, easier to work with … and they tasted fine. The coffee we made using fresh beans wasn’t good until it cooled down. Then it was smooth, very nuanced, flavorful. Sorry Peet’s. I’m still trying to find a grind level / water amount that works.

The perfect roast for a robust and flavorful cuppa! I roasted my own coffee beans for many years, a process that I had to do outside because our smoke alarms in the house would go off every time. However, roasting beans outside in the cold winter months is quite the challenge, so my results were never consistent. Then I read that someone else had the same issues as me, had discovered Major Dickason’s Blend, and had tossed all of their coffee roasting gear – because they couldn’t improve upon Peet’s results. So I tried Major Dickason’s Blend… and it was the same for me. Fantastic coffee!

It is an ok coffee. I Don't know why Peet's so much hyped. I ordered at a same time Peet's, MM's colombian supremo coffee and Pablo's Pride. me and my wife blind tasted all . Pablos's taste the best next MM's and last offcourse Peet's. I don't drink coffee everyday, but when I drink coffee , I fresh grind and brew . it has to be my liking. Onething I can tell you , I don't like french roast or dark roast. both taste to me like charcoal burnt leaves.

Excellent tasting coffee which I found is used in several high end restaurants. Sam's Club mail order price is so far the cheapest I have found for 2 of the large size bags. I enjoy fresh grinding my beans, however the pre-ground Peets Major Dickason's Blend I have found to be excellent as well.

Ever since my first taste of Major Dickason’s blend, I’ve been hooked, no other coffee can hold a candle to this blend. The look, the smell, and the taste are so good, you will NEVER want to drink anything else. I manually grind my own beans, and totally enjoy smelling the smells as the beans are grinding. Go ahead and treat yourself to the best coffee ever!
